I feel like all I do these days is write posts to you guys to pray for me. It is like the never ending story. I want you to know that I appreciate them very much.
You won't believe what happened yesterday. I was in Mark's office here in the house. He has a rug over the carpet by his desk and it moves from time to time. So I moved his office chair into the hallway and started to pull the rug over and for some reason, I don't really know why, but I went down on my knee. Well I have thin skin because of steroids and I tore the skin on my left knee.
Of course I went and had to put something on it to stop the bleeding. Nothing really helped. I pulled the skin up as much as I could, I wrapped gauze around it over and over again and then secured it. So after awhile I checked it and it was still bleeding a lot.
I decided I would have to go to urgent care and make sure that there wasn't more that I should be doing. As it turns out, Mark was on his way home from going shooting and he was able to drive me to urgent care. I was seen pretty quickly and I liked the doctor I saw. I have seen him before.
So he cleaned it really well pouring a special liquid over it. Then he gently pulled the skin back up and secured it with tape all the way around. I believe he put some cream on it also. Anyway he bandaged it really well. The top bandage I will take off daily and put a new one on. The other one should start to come loose in about 10 days. Whether or not the skin will attach and heal is hopeful but not for sure.
Of course now I have to figure out how I'm going to shower. I just got done using a shower thing you pull up on your leg so I could shower with my ankle bandage that couldn't get wet. So here I am again, only a few days later with the same issue. By the way, that's the leg I am having sciatica in.
On top of that we go later today to watch James for the weekend. It is for sure now that I will be in the house with the dogs while Adam and James go out and have some fun maybe playing miniature golf or something else.
Your prayers are appreciated.
Love you guys,
Debby

Oh my goodness, Debby -- I want to come over and swaddle you in bubble wrap!
Lifting my prayers now!
Yes, love and prayers. Please don't hesitate to write about what is happening. I'm so sorry if this will interfere with your visit with James. I do agree with Mad Snapper -- see if you can get some part-time help with the housework, at least for a while. ❤️
Oh Debbie I am so sorry to hear this. I hope your knee heals quickly. You've definitely got more prayers coming your way
I am sorry to hear about the injury to your knee. Good that you went to urgent care. Seems like we get more injuries as we age. I can relate to the sciatica. I will keep you in my prayers.
Oh my goodness Debby, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I will pray for a quick, uneventful healing and that you're back to your regular routines in no time.
Oh Debby, my heart just went out to you reading this. You’ve been through so much lately, and then this knee injury on top of everything else… it’s just not fair. I’m so glad Mark was close by and able to get you to urgent care quickly, and that you had a doctor you trust. I hope the skin heals smoothly and that the sciatica eases up soon too. Please take things slowly this weekend while the boys have their fun. You’re always in my prayers, and I’m sending you a big gentle hug today. ❤️
Praying my dear Debby!!
