2. What was peaceful about today?
I'm typing this on Sunday and I communicated with Adam and they invited us over for dinner. So that was a blessing.
3. It's National Blueberry Day (July 8). Will you celebrate? You can have one of the following right now-a slice of blueberry pie, a warm blueberry muffin, or a stack of blueberry pancakes...which do you choose?
I like blueberries but I don't believe I will be celebrating. I think that the blueberry muffin sounds good.
This or that-blueberries or raspberries? blueberries or strawberries?
I would definitely pick raspberries and then I would pick strawberries.
4. Do you need a break? From what?
YES! I would like to have a break from all of my doctor's appointments and feel like myself again. I have 3 appointments this week.
5. What has surprised you most about getting older?
Over the years nothing had really surprised me. However, I am very surprised with my health because I never expected something like this to happen until I was maybe in my 80's or 90's. I have to admit I've been depressed and that makes me sad.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
So I told you that James was going to spend the night here on Tuesday last week. We had such a nice time. First of all Adam and Gabby brought Jersey Mikes for dinner and we hung out for awhile. Then we had the best of times with James. He was so happy to be here. I only took a few pictures.
James and Papa putting together a puzzle that we bought him a few years ago. He brought it over.

Cute pics of your time with James. I hope all goes well with your appointments this week Debby.
What a splendid idea, creating a jig-saw puzzle from a photograph! I'm right there with you on all these doctors' appointments. Who'd have guessed?
I said coffee too!! :-)
I am glad you had fun with James, but I knew you would.
xo
Looks like James had a fantastic time with grandma and grandpa!
Wishing you good luck with your health!
As I've said before, Debby, seeing James having so much fun with his Papa and you warms my heart. He is one beautiful boy!
Keeping up prayers for you, my friend.
That James is such a darling boy. I'm glad he visits often and really gets to know you and your hubby.
I do hope that you get good answers at your doctor appointments and you begin to feel like your old self again.
(((hugs)))

Depression is tough and can chip away at the positive mindset needed to heal and push through the pain. As we get older, it can creep in and be harder to shake, but it’s not impossible. Those special moments with James and the family really make a difference.
Oh, you are so blessed to have James living nearby and to be able to spend such wonderful times together. I love the puzzle! How cool is that? And I am sorry about all of the Dr. visits, etc. I know it's hard. My body feels like it's breaking down piece by piece some days and it's hard to keep it moving. I keep hearing my sweet old daddy saying, 'Oh Pammy, don't get old!" And I'd ask him, "Well, daddy, what's my alternative?" And he'd think a minute and then smile and say, "Oh, I see what you mean." And we'd laugh together. But I do know what he meant now for sure, and I'm not as old as he was at that time. But we have to try to focus on the good things and beautiful moments that God gives us. I know you treasure those times with James. He is truly a blessing to you.
You are really fortunate to have James close enough to spend the weekend with you. I envy that.
Those photos of him are adorable.
Hope you get a break from all the Dr. appts!
Love the pictures from James spending the night.
I'm the same way, I hated coffee for the longest time but now I can't go without it
I've never celebrated any of those holidays like National Blueberry Day. I wouldn't mind a muffin though
Great pictures! I hope the doctors can do something about your pain. ❤️
I love when my grandkids spend the night. So special.
the night of the puzzle sounds like a real winner, the puzzle is adorable .I don't eat blueberries but I do love all three of the options. If eating fruit, I love strawberries, bananas, mango best of all.
as for what I could use a break from, that is easy. 16 months of care giving for hubby and I need a long break from care giving.
Turning 80 was a huge shock, because everything on hubby and myself started to break down.. OLD age is a shock
I too am surprised by how much I enjoy my morning coffee (mixed with hot chocolate -- I still can't drink straight coffee).
