Thank you Joyce.
1. How do you define beauty?
Found this online....I couldn't come up with anything.
Too many other things on my mind these days.
Colors, shapes, and sounds that feel good to see or hear.
Sunsets, mountains, and paintings that make people feel calm and happy.
Kindness, honesty, and confidence that shine from a person.
2. Have you ever taken a trip by train? If so where did you go and what did you think of the experience? If not do you have any desire to do so? Where would you like to go? (You might find inspiration here-The Best Train Trips in The World)
I did take a train trip when I was like 12 years old. I took the train from Chicago to California to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle who lived out here.
Of course they watched me closely on the train. It's certainly not something you would do with your child in today's world.
3. Shell shocked, bombshell, bandshell, shellacking, in a nutshell, walking on eggshells...choose one and tell us why you chose it, or how it relates to your life in some way currently.
These questions are tough for me today. I guess I am walking on eggshells because of all the health issues I am having.
4. Tacos, pistachios, oysters, clams, eggs...your favorite food on the list that comes in/with a shell?
I do like tacos. I prefer to eat shelled pistachios and I do like eggs. Just made some hard boiled eggs on Sunday.
5. Are birthdays a big deal in your house? Is your own birthday a big deal in some way? Elaborate.
We do like to celebrate birthdays but we normally go out to dinner. We often have a cake at the house.
We are going out to dinner when Amber and Dylan are here, along with Adam, Gabby and James. We will be celebrating my birthday on October 3rd.
We also plan on celebrating Amber and Dylan and the fact that they got remarried last year on October 6th.
James is coming home with us that night too. Adam and Gabby will be coming over on Sunday and Adam is making lasagna. Amber will be making garlic bread. Mark will be baking the bread from scratch.
(I see that I mentioned these things in my last post. Sorry, I'm just really excited)
6. Insert your own random thought here.
You are not going to believe this. I am besides myself with grief. I will take all the prayers you can give to me. It seems like my story is never ending. When will I ever be whole again.
I got a phone call on Saturday from a new doctor's office. I don't know the doctor but he has been given information to see me and take care of an issue. It's extremely depressing and I am really scared. I guess when they do a procedure, things are still sent out for testing.
Apparently the cancer on the inside of my right arm which I had the procedure done on in the doctor's office still has cancer. I have to have another surgery. I am so overwhelmed as well with everything else going on with my body.
I would appreciate all of your prayers with the hope that at some point I will be clear and free to live my life with some good health.

Oh Debby, I am so sorry to hear that. You've gone through so much and I can only imagine how heavy this is to add another problem. You are in my thoughts and prayers that all will work out well.
I will certainly keep you in my prayers Debby. You've had one thing on top of another, which is how it seems to go with our health. I'm so glad you have your family coming in and something fun to look forward to. Praying you feel peace as you navigate all the things.
Overwhelmed seems to be the norm right now - you aren't alone in feeling this way. Better health and blessings to you.
Prayers said for you Debby.
I will lift you up in prayer today Debby. I don't know what your health issues are, aside from the cancer in your arm.....but God does and He and He alone is our Great Physician. I pray you draw near to HIM and allow Him to cover you with His strength, mercy, and healing power no matter what that looks like. I'm so sorry to hear you have health issues.
And now you're making me crave hard boiled eggs. :)
Thank you so much. I do not have your email address.
Debby, my heart is broken after reading your post. I feel your anxiety and depression expressed throughout. May I share a bit from my Bible study this morning? The scripture was Psalm 42. The first verses have been my theme for over 30 years. The writer is expressing deep depression while also knowing that God is the answer. "God is not dead! He is alive, awake, alert, able, active, and accomplishing His agenda. Hope in God, waiting patiently and expectantly for Him to intervene. Like David, say, 'I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! Ps. 27:13-14
Dear Friend,
Oh Debby, we have been blog buddies for so long. This has been such a long, long road for you. I pray each day.
Love you, praying for you and know I am willing to listen if you need to vent.
xo
Aww friend, I am so sorry to read all of this.
Of course I will continue to pray for you and for the surgery, its outcome and for you peace and health.
(((hugs)))
Sue
I'm so sorry to hear this Debby. Of course I will pray for you. You have been through a lot!
Oh Debby, I'm so very sorry to hear about this latest development. Of course, I'm honored to hold you in my prayers.
I love tacos, but don't like to eat them in public because I always make a mess. Tom bought a bag of Pistachios just yesterday, so that's what I'm having tonight and call it "supper."
I’m so sorry and will continue praying. 🙏❤️
Such a sad and depressing random thought, I hope things take a positive turn and health improved
You did not need another problem. I am so sorry. Can't say I understand, but I will pray.
I know you LOVE family time and I am happy for you for that!!
Hi Debby, I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for you. Did they tell you what kind of cancer you have? I had basal on my face. I am glad your family is there for you, and James can brighten your days.
Oh, gracious, Debby, I'm so devastated to hear this about our cancer recurring! Yes, I will keep you in prayer, dear one, and am so sorry I might not have posted last week as I didn't have your blog address to add to Feedly which I'm using now since Blogger failed. Now that Blogger is back up and running, I will add you to Feedly with others and check back here, too. Know that you are loved and treasured not just by your family and friends, but by our loving Father in Heaven.
