EVERYTHING I EXPECTED AND MORE....

These are indeed my very own pictures of the wedding. Taking the pictures made me feel like I was there. I watched it live on BBC and I enjoyed each moment.

I was up all night which means I was awake for almost 24 hours. I just couldn't sleep. Hopefully I will get a nap in soon. I did get some sleep from 5:30am until 8:30am but I am now glued to the TV again. After their luncheon William and Catherine came out in a convertible that he was driving. They were going over to change their clothes for their party this evening.

I must say I was so into the hats that everyone was wearing. (well Fergie's daughters hats were a bit weird) I kind of feel like I may just have to get myself a little fluffy hat when I'm in London. Hopefully that desire will pass with time. I still want a replica of the engagement ring. I've been wanting one ever since Diana received hers.

A ROYAL WEDDING

Did you get yours?

( I will be up watching at 2:30am, that is when the procession begins)

I can't wait to buy souvenirs in London!!!

I remember getting up to watch his mother's wedding.

I admired his mother with my whole heart.

P.S. There is a new post at Debby' Tree.

WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Join us in Joyce's Wednesday Hodgepodge. Just click on the button.

Here are today's questions:

1. What is something that bothers you if it is not done perfectly?
I can't seem to think of anything. It use to be my housework, I was very OCD about it.

2. What is one of your best childhood memories?
It would definitely have to say Christmas, they were always the best.

3. Do you plan to watch the Royal Wedding and when was the last time you wore a hat?
Yes, I.CAN'T.WAIT ! I don't like myself in hats so the last time would most likely be as a child on Easter.

4. Where do you fall in the birth order in your family? Do you think this has influenced your personality?
I am the third/last child. I am the baby in the family. I of course was spoiled and always got my way. I really don't know if it influenced my personality. I have always been the silly.

5. Where do you think you spend most of your money?
Me personally, not counting in the normal bills, I would say face creams/make-up/etc and then on others.

6. When you need to confront someone would you rather communicate in person, on the phone, by email or by letter? Why?
None of the above! I don't like confrontations, haven't actually had that many. I will put things into a letter when I'm angry with my husband. When I face him one on one he has the knack to turn things around making me feel really bad.

7. Dodge ball, freeze tag, kickball or jump rope? You have to pick one.
Jump rope but I doubt I could actually do it now.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
In preparation for the upcoming nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which I am so excited about, I watched the following programs with the last one airing tomorrow:

William & Kate (2011) docudrama on Lifetime
Charles & Di: Once Upon/Time (New) on TLC (this one was wonderful)
Untold Stories/Royal Bridesmaid (New) on TLC
Royally/30 Defining Days (New) on TLC
Wild About Prince Harry (New) on TLC (just because)
The Making of A Royal Wedding (New) on TLC Thursday

If you have a DVR you go on Demand to the BBC and also watch some shows.

EASTER BLESSINGS TO YOU

I liked this saying on this vintage postcard but it should say:

May the gifts of Easter cause you much delight,

and the Son of God make your pathway bright....

Have you seen pictures of this tree. My MIL sent me an email about it. I got this photo off of google images. It's a tree that has about 9,800 Easter eggs hanging on it. (Reminds me of my Christmas tree.) You can google Easter tree in Germany. Here is one link that I thought was wonderful with some awesome pictures of the tree.

TUEWENSDAY

Like that word! This is about my Tuesday and Wednesday this week. As you know I am on call for jury duty and didn't know if I could go to bowling on Tuesday. Well I didn't have to go in so I was able to go to bowling. Hooray!

Since I mentioned Skye in Wednesday's Hodgepodge and everyone was asking about her I thought I would do a post on her rather then type this several times in my return to the comment. For maybe three days Skye has been licking her paws obsessively. Not like her at all to do this. We looked at them but didn't see anything. On Monday evening Skye was acting funny. We ended up getting some pizza and she wouldn't eat any, not like her at all. My husband brought her into my office and said he didn't think she was well. The funny thing is that in some ways she was herself, in others she was acting like she was stoned! She would chase after her ball but would not pick it up. She loves that ball and it's in her mouth most of the time. She even falls asleep with it in her mouth.

So we decided that we didn't need the emergency evening vet. I didn't sleep at all that night, kept checking to see if she was breathing. She seemed better in the morning so I went to bowling. I didn't bowl very well my first two games but made up for it my last game. (99-113-189) Anyway I started getting very nervous about her and was so afraid that something may have happened to her when I was gone making myself feel real guilty for putting bowling before her. She actually greeted me when I got home, she took a treat and drank some water however she would not pick up her tennis ball. I decided to call the vet and we got in at 3:30pm.

At the vet, medication and resting comfortably.
She has a few spots on her tongue which the vet said comes from eating a poisonous plant. I told her we don't have any. I wondered if it could have been from a spider or her eating a lizard, bird or frog. (I think she got a lizard once) She said no, only from a plant. She also had a reed stuck in her paw which they got out. It was also a little infected. Now we do have one super tiny little bitty sago palm in our yard which is on the list of poisonous plants but Skye does not eat plants at all. Anyway she got an injection for her mouth pain and an injection of antibiotics. Then we also have four medications to give her for the next 10 days. (vet called to tell us that the blood work all looked good)

Here is what came to mind as I was driving home. Skye runs like a crazy person chasing birds, lizards and her ball. Doesn't matter what is in her way, she will knock down patio lights if necessary to get what she wants. So what if she got a reed in her paw from the little sago palm while she was chasing something over the weekend. Kept licking her paw because of it and ended up getting poisoned from it? That just may be what happened.

She is doing much better now which I am thankful for. As for me I have been a train wreck today. I slept good last night but the stress of yesterday must have gotten to me. I was watching Parenthood from Tuesday night on Wednesday morning and I cried through the whole show. I am not one to cry over TV shows. Buy the way, if your not watching Parenthood I suggest you watch the reruns over summer, it is so good! Something else that has been really good, better then I thought it would be, is Addicted to food on the OWN network. They have the best ways of getting to the heart of issues.

So these little cuties, which really didn't turn out like I wanted them too, were made late Monday evening to take to bowling for my friends with children. I couldn't make them until I knew I didn't have jury duty. I was having issues with melting the butterscotch chips and had to do another bag. My husband was watching a movie and getting very frustrated with me in the kitchen. He said "You had all day to do this, why did you wait until now?" I said "If you would have heard me when I explained it to you I couldn't make them until I knew about jury duty which I couldn't call on until after 7PM!" Here is the link from Totally Tutorials which will take you to another link.

Thank you for asking about Skye and I pray you have a blessed Easter.

WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

1. What are your plans for Easter Day/weekend?
Nothing set in stone yet. Our Daughter & SIL will be going his family for dinner. Our son and his girlfriend will be over. Rather then a big meal we might just do steaks on the grill!

2. Besides Jesus, what one person from The Bible would you most like to meet and why?
I don't know.

3. What is one modern day convenience you didn't have as a child that was easy to live without?
I would have to say the microwave.

4. Are you more right brained or left brained?
I did this test and I was right in the middle, what does that mean?
Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz
The higher of these two numbers below indicates which side of your brain has dominance in your life. Realising your right brain/left brain tendency will help you interact with and to understand others.
Left Brain Dominance:
8(8)
Right Brain Dominance:
8(8)
Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz

5. What is something you intended to do today (yesterday) but didn't? Why?
As of yesterday I am on call for two weeks of jury duty. I didn't have to go in so I was able to go to bowling. I had errands to run afterwards but didn't do them because we noticed that Skye wasn't feeling well and I hurried home to get her to the vet.

6. Cadbury Creme Eggs or Reese's peanut butter?
Reese's peanut butter!

7. Who was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child?
Fred Flintstone. Actually the whole cast, I liked all of them.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Since Friday is Earth Day I thought you might be interested in a special offer that is going on at MRS. MEYER'S = FREE SHIPPING! It doesn't happen very often but when it does I always make sure to get some earth friendly supplies for the house. (believe me, if you ever wanted to try some of their products this is the time to do it because shipping is usually pretty costly)

PICTURE TIME!

We had an awesome day about a week ago when the clouds were just so white and puffy, the sky was the prettiest blue and I just had to snap some pictures.
(click on them to enlarge)

These are some pictures from Venice Beach where we had a delicious dinner celebrating Tristen's birthday last weekend. I didn't take picture of our awesome meals but I did take one after we finished the desserts!

Guess what we found at the garden shop last weekend. Ranunculus flowers! That's right, I now have my own planted in our yard.
Look what I received in the mail the other day. It's the Hallmark Dreambook for 2011 which of course has all the new ornaments in it for this year. Here is a sneak peak. I am so excited!!

There is a new post over at Debby's Tree.

WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Head on over to Joyce's place to join in the fun!

1. Would you rather talk to everyone at a crowded party for a short time or have a significant conversation with two people?

I think I would choose the significant conversation with two people providing I actually like the two people.

2. What objects do you remember from your parent's living room?

Well there was a modern pole lamp in one corner, the large corner sectional that had plastic covers and we had a big organ.

3. Do you hog the bed? Steal the covers? Snore?

No I don't hog the bed or steal the covers, I usually have the covers off! Not that I have ever heard myself but yes I have been known to snore!

4. Speaking of Easter dinner....what is your favorite way to cook/eat lamb? Or does just the thought of that make you squeamish? If you're not cooking lamb what will be your entree du jour on Easter Sunday?

We will most likely be making a Prime Rib dinner.

5. Let's throw some politics into this week's mix-oooohhh...Do you know the whereabouts of your birth certificate and when was the last time you had to produce it to prove you're you?

Actually I do know where it is because I just had to have a copy sent to me for my passport. I only had the hospital one which doesn't count. So I used it in February of this year.

6. As a child, how did people describe you?

Cute as a button and full of smiles.

7. What do you complain about the most?

I am sure my family would have a long list to give you. I don't seem to be a happy camper anymore. I am going to say the fact that most days they (family) don't get the fact that I have a chronic illness and can't do a lot of things around the house. They make me feel guilty for what I don't do. I don't know why I have to keep reminding them about this.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WE WILL SEE AND LIVE THIS EVENT

This year, July has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens once every 823 years.
