When we stayed with my Mom, she always spent money on our daughter and I. The only time she complained was when it was bill time, then she held out her hand and expected EVERY dime owed on electric and cable (we payed half of those bills)
Sounds like other than that everything is going well since they moved in! :)
On a POSITIVE NOTE......you have your precious daughter with you again. I am so looking forward to when Bean comes back to live with us while Tex is deployed. I know I am saying that NOW and later will be changing my tune! lol
You'd better tell her no, haha! I never, ever want my parents to pay for anything...I figure the 18 years when I lived at home were enough, and now that I'm on my own, I can pay for it, or I don't get to do it. Luckily for me, my husband feels the same way!
The rolling earthquakes are better than the shaking earthquakes...less violent!
I didn't even open the fridge yesterday. I don't even want to think about leftovers. I'm bad. When I get back from St. George this weekend I'm gonna have some serious "clean out he fridge" time.
Well, I am glad that you had a nice Easter. And I am also glad that the earthquake was not the jolting kind and that you have just memories of it. I have only felt two small earthquakes and I did not know that either one of them was even an earthquake until later on. :)
I think it is true. No matter how old our children get, when they come home it is like they are kids again and we take care of them! It is great for you both to be able to spend time with each other though - and GREAT that they can save money!
Just this morning, my son said, I need $20 to pay my friend back, we went to the movies Friday." I found myself thinking adulthood is going to hit hard, but now that I read this I'm just scared.
i still live with my mom ..but thats to take care of my brother when shes gone all the time for the military ..it would be nice to get my own apt but then i would have to come over when shes gone
i try to pay for everything i can i clean and do all the cooking

it is more expensive when the kids come
home. guess we should budget for it or
get creative about sharing the goodness. :)

P.S. Chocolate covered Peeps - YUM!
My kids have their hands out and they don't live with us! I've started having NO cash in my purse.....:)

i think daughter ought to treat you to a movie. mine probably wouldn't, but yours probably will!
when we lived with the nana - we let her pay too. I think it's kids natural instincts! but just think it might get them out sooner. ha.

i always think about you, and martha, and jam too when an earthquake happens.. so glad all of you were ok!!
I looked for those peeps and couldn't find them. :(
Chocolate peeps! I didn't see them! Now i want some!
the chocolate peeps do rock...
I think that sounds like a yummy treat for sure...
I loved living with my Mom too..
Have a great day..
I think as parents our kids will always think of us as ones to pay their way, here is hoping that she took you out and to the movies.
Chocolate peeps seriously? How did I miss that? I had Steve go out on Sunday when I realized we had no peeps! Easter isn't the same without peeps!
Please stop by my blog today to meet a blogger in need of help!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
OH man, grown kids back at home...been there. And you're right, you will spend more :) But you're probably a really good mom!
Debby thank you for sharing. Never had chocolate Peeps. Blessings.
Sounds like a lovely Easter weekend...minus the earthquake! I have never been in an earthquake and that is okay with me.
I think I'm in love with your post-its - :-D
Sorry I was away for so long, now I feel like I can't catch up - gaaah!
Chocolate covered peeps? Good thing I haven't heard of them or seen them, I'd be a peepin' fool! ;)
