1. Did you play a sport in high school? If so, which one(s)?
No I did not play a sport but I was pretty good in gymnastics until I took one bad spill on my back.
2. If you watch Food Network, what is your favorite show and who is your favorite personality on the network?
I loved watching Jamie Oliver and Alton Brown but I haven't watched in a long time.
3. What is the job around the house that you dislike the most?
All the above. I don't enjoy any of them anymore but I guess that washing the floors would be the worst.
4. Name one person or defining moment in your life that made you who you are today.
This may sound weird but my husband leaving me made me the person I am today. Now this didn't happen overnight, it took years. I was very spoiled and when you get knocked down you will sometimes realize that you were not a very nice person. I grew a big heart filled with compassion for others who are hurting. (We have been back together for 21 years)
5. Who/what do you look toward for you inspiration?
I have found inspirations in many things. The Bible is by far the greatest inspiration. I have also found inspiration in people like Princess Diana.
6. Are you one of those women who insists on wearing makeup before you step foot out of the house?
No! however I am sure that there was a time when I was that way.
7. What is the one item of makeup that you never do without?
One doesn't work for me. Lipstick, eyeliner and mascara with a touch of blush works for me.
8. What is your favorite story in the Bible?
The birth of Jesus.

WOW! I can really identify with #4! My husband left me too and we are back together also. However, the time apart from him stretched me spiritually and emotionally. I have become more confident because of it! Amazing how we have that in common!Following you! Thanks for visiting Peaceful Divas!

Food Network? They've got a network for food only? I would be glued to it. And to the Scifi channel, BBC 1-4. Oh my, I would never leave my television again!!!
How fun, I think my turning point in myself would be along the same lines it really does make you stop and look at one's self and also the person that you are with!
I'm horrible at these so here are my answers :)
1. Oh lord no sports, I did try out for cheerleading let's just say it didn't work :)

I think it is actually when we go through the hardest parts of our lives, that is when we grow the most and we can look back at it and be somewhat appreciative of how we changed (hopefully for the better) because of it. I know I have had those life defining events too that actually helped me grow as painful as they were walking through it.

Hi Debby, I love the Food Network and I miss seeing Alton Brown - every once in a while he'll shop up on a show. Right now I'm loving the fun Aarti brings to her new show Aarti Party... she's adorable.

When I was a young adult I dated Abusive guys and I got sick of it and I then got my husband now that treats me like a queen!

Yes, even though I dont wear much at all. I see to many people walking around unkept and in pj pants and slippers even while out in at a store. Drives me mad!

I played several sports in high school -- tennis, softball, and swimming. I still play lots of tennis!
I absolutely need lipstick, eyeliner and mascara. I leave the house without any makeup most of the time, but I can get away with most of it if I put on eyeliner and mascara.
