So traffic sucked on the way to bowling again but I wasn't late so that was a good thing. Bowling was fun, always is but I couldn't bowl worth a darn. I am maintaining a 113 average. That is not a good thing but as a team we did okay Tuesday against the team we played. Then I had a lunch to celebrate a team members birthday and that I have to say was a good thing :-)
Then I ran to the bank and needed to get gas. There is a car wash I like nearby which is touch-less which is all that I will use. (no brushes for me) Well wouldn't you know it, the screen never asked me so I had to go and park the car, go inside to get my car wash receipt. That made me mad. I told the woman that I like when it asks me if I want one. She said most customers complain that it asks them so they took that feature off. Thank you very much!!!!
I had decided to do a grocery run with coupons. We do almost all of our shopping at Costco. I will run out for maybe milk and soda but most things are bought on our Costco run. So when I gather up enough really good coupons I run over to our Ralph's grocery store to take advantage of sales with coupons. It takes time and I had a whole cart full.
There is one check out open for 15 or less items!! A woman was flagging me to go over to the self check out. I told her I have a full cart, I really wasn't interested. She said she would help me so I went over reluctantly. Sorry but the Queen does not want to ring up and bag her groceries. I'm just saying..........
She did help but was running from machine to machine to help people. So then I tell her I have coupons. Yes I had about 25 coupons, that was the reason I went, remember? So I am watching as she does them and I thought it didn't seem right. See Ralph's is our double coupon store. Well not anymore..........and I was angry. They only double up to a one dollar now so my 13 $1.00 coupons were only worth $13.00 not $26.00. So I politely said that I may as well shop at Wal-Mart since their prices are better! The problem there is that mine isn't really a Super store although they have added a better grocery section but they don't always have everything that I want.
This was me after my day:
I know that in the scheme of things this is nothing but since it's my post..... I'll cry if I want to! I claim to be a person who has patience but on Tuesday I failed on that claim.
So after I wrote this post my evening went better. I watched Glee & Parenthood which were both awesome. I had a glass of wine (which I don't have very often anymore) and eventually went to bed. My husband comes to bed soon after I did and he likes to take one of those Mid-nite pills to help him sleep. (it's actually very silly because he is one of those people who is out before his head hits the pillow) So he comes to bed with it in his hand, pulls the covers back and drops it!!!!! Guess who took it ~ SKYE! Well I blew my top big time. I panicked. I immediately went to my computer to look up whatever I could find out. (my husband said she will be fine and was asleep in a few seconds)
I couldn't find anything on the website so I headed over to a place where you could ask the vet. Of course after you ask the questions they want money to give you an answer so I left. Then I searched for Melatonin for dogs. They actually give it to dogs to calm them down, dogs who can't handle thunderstorms, fireworks, etc. I felt a little better after I read about it. I stayed up with Skye for awhile, she actually played with Charlie and didn't have any effects from it. Thank God.
I however had a horrible night of sleep, pulled some muscle in my neck from stress and really messed up my asthma. Yes it was one of those days..........................
P.S. There is a new post of ornaments over at Debby's Tree

Oh my.... many of those things would have sent me through the roof also! and when I get in one of those moods, hell hath no fury... I HATE TRAFFIC AND SELF CHECK OUT LINES!!!!
Hopefully, you got all that out of your system and you are looking at a brighter day.
P.s. I would have FREAKED if my cat would have swallowed a people pill at my bedtime. I would have done the exact same thing! and my hubby would have been snoring while I paced the floor....
That sounds so much like me I had to laugh out loud! My husband says I blast off like a rocket ship over the least bit of stress. It's true! :)
Skye eating the pill was crazy! I can't even get mine to take their heartworm tasty chewable pills, I have to cram them down their throats.
Our Jack is super anxiety ridden and my vet suggested I try xanax with him when we travel. I gave him one and it never even fazed him. He didn't even get sleepy! Just crazier!
Sigh.....hope today is better!
Oh, my! You did have "ONE OF THOSE DAYS!" I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the weekend goes much better for you.
Thankful that Skye had so reaction to the medication. I would have been fuming too!
Enjoy your day, my friend!
Blessings~
Laura
The car wash receipt thingy is just silly! I can't believe people complained because the machine asked them if they wanted a receipt! I would want a receipt, too. :)
I'm planning on going on a Costco run today. I hope my day goes better than yours did! (My husband has to work from home today, so my job is to get the girls out of the house so he can concentrate on his work. Usually we have a good time!)
So sorry things just weren't right that day and so hope the next day was all better. Things like that really throw me for a loop anymore too. Ugh...
I just hate those rotten days! Hopefully your weekend gets much better and I'm happy Skye is alright!
Oh my goodness Debby! You need Calgon and a nice bath with powerjets to take away the stress!! A candle...a glass of wine...yeah that's the prescription you need!
Oh Deb...sorry you had a rough day. I sometimes find that doing all the little errands that need to be done it exhausting. Especially when your hubby comes home and says, "what did you do today?" Glad your eve. was better. The grocery store ALWAYS pisses me off!

wow that does sound like one helluva day! hope your weekend is better :)
Hope your weekend is off to a better start. My day yesterday wasn't great either. Went out to go to my granddaughter's volley ball game and had a flat time. So took my husband's truck which I hate to drive. Got to the appointed place to have my daughter call to say she had told me the wrong place. Had to drive another 15 min. Only to get there and find my billfold was not in my purse. No money to get in so had to page my daughter. Then worry for the next hour about where my billfold was. Wanted to take photos of the game and my camera batteries were dead.Glad to hear it wasn't just me. Do you think it is the full moon?
Oh Sweetie! I'm sorry you had "one of those days" and I hope it has been your quota for a while! And it's OK to let it all out..to keep things pent up causes all kinds of inner-body issues, so let it go..that's what we're here for :-)
Glad Skye is good and I'd have been worried too..
Also, LOVE Glee and Parenthood, too! Great minds think alike, huh?
i am so sorry you had a rough day.. and don't every think that cause some others might be rougher you shouldn't complain.. cause i tend to think it's therapeutic to complain some!!
oooh i would have been SOOOOO MAD if my bella had taken a human pill of some sort.. i would have stayed up ALL NIGHT TOO WATCHING HER..
oh yea.. one more thing.. self check out.. i know right? i hate those things... and really, i feel like if i spend my money there and buy the stuff.. couldn't someone at least the checking out and bagging FOR ME?????
hope you weekend goes better dear!!!
I hate days like that!
Glad it's over.
I'm throwing some salt over my shoulder and hope that does the trick! NO MORE BAD DAYS!
Love ya!
I really need to get on the Glee bandwagon, I feel like I'm the only one in the world who isn't watching. And if it can cheer you up, all the more reason to tune in.
Hope this day brings you nothing but smiles :)
sorry about ur day! :( we all have them..i have to tell u about my mom..ice maker leak, the toliet pump broke, one of the outlets wasnt working and the dishwasher cap wouldnt close to put the detergent in! (all in the last 2 days) after the parts store and her saying well maybe its time to buy new appliances she says "well atleast the stove still works" went to cook dinner and the door glass broke lol we told her she really shouldnt say anything because she was talking about her car one day and she went to turn and it died!
but i would of freaked about the pill!
hope today is better! i think every once in a while u need a bad day to remind u how good the good days are! :)
I despise those self checkout things! I would not even do it if someone offered to help. I always screw something up and then on top of that I have to bag all of that crap myself!
Oh it is understandable that you were feeling like you were having ne of those days. I know I have been there. Sending you hugs:) Lots of them!
Wow...what a day! I hope today is going better for you. I stopped going to Ralph's and I do a lot of shopping at our walmart. Their prices are so much cheaper than any grocery store around here.
I would have freaked out about Skye as well..you did the right thing by checking online.
What a day! I hope you enjoyed a glass of wine after all of that. Sounds like you handled it pretty well.
What are you gonna do? right?
Carol-the gardener
Sorry you had one of those days. I had that Monday and Tuesday. I dislike those so much. Hoping you have a better week.
Caroline
oh my gosh!! what a day you had!! you know, I don't know what that cashier wasn't more helpful. If she had really thought about it, by sending you to the self-service checkout, she was allowing a machine to take her place and some day (like Fresh and Easy stores) she might be replaced by machines. Irritating!! I remember the days Ralph's doubled and sometimes offered triple coupons, again the old mighty dollar stopped that. Geesh!! I am glad though that you had an enjoyable birthday lunch with members of your bowling team. 113 is not a bad average!!
stay cool....
betty
That does sound like a stressful day and I just about had a heart attack when I read Skye took the sleeping pill. I would have blown my top, too! Good thing everything worked out okay and hope your tomorrows are better!!!
yikes, that was one of those days that
never ended! so sorry.
at least we know those sleeping pills
work! i'm glad you puppy is ok.
my grandma used to say that if you have
a bad day, then the next one will be a
good one.
Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed!
Those rollarcoaster days are the worst! I am so glad that Skye is ok and that there is always tomorrow! Hoping it's better! <3
Hugs!
Oh Debby, I've had days like that! One thing after another. It makes you just wish for a do-over. I hope your Sunday goes a little better!
btw... I NEVER do those self check-outs. My husband loves them, but not me!
Oh know not a fun day and it ended with poor Skye getting something wild. Your husband should take his pills in the bathroom with water then hop into bed. I bet he will do that now. Hugs to you. Have a wonderful Sunday..
OM Goodness Girlfriend,,sounds like you did have one of those all to familar One Of Those Days,,and in So. Cal no less with soooo much more traffic than here shpooing in Iowa. Well,, unless you go to Omaha like we do all to often..

Oh Boy! When it rains, it pours, doesn't it Debby? I am so sorry you had a bad day but the good thing is it could only go up from there.....Christine
Sorry you had a day like that! ((hug)) Hoping for a much better week for you!
I have never found a store around here that doubles coupons. I want one.
Oh my good that was quite the day!! My hubby and I take those pills every nite! I would have researched it too! I'm glad he was ok then!
Hope the rest of your weekend went better and may you have a great week!
Oh, I feel your pain my dear!
Aren't you glad Saturday is over and done with?!
Sure glad Skye wasn't harmed by her "snack" - oh those naughty doggies!
I hate those kind of days. makes up appreciate the other ones though. and yay for Glee!
Goodness, you really did have a day. It's a bummer to have a day full of grief. Hope your neck and asthma are better :)
