Who was I trying to fool! Debby doesn't go to Las Vegas and relax. Not for a minute! I am a die hard keno player. I can sit in front of a machine for 9 hours straight and not even eat! Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm playing with big money. Sit me down at a nickel machine and I am one happy camper. I do play a few others when I'm not feeling lucky but they never seem to please me like keno. As usually, especially the last few years with the economy the way it is, the machines are giving very little these days. I really didn't win anything to write home about!
So I obviously didn't spend much time in this awesome room at the Venetian. The place is beautiful and it's even nicer when it's all paid for with business. My husband was busy with a show but he did manage to have two very nice dinners with me.
The Venetian has some wonderful things to see and some great places to shop. I did take some time to walk around on Wednesday but I would rather gamble then shop. Crazy right? So I have nothing to show for the money I spent! I think I'm going to go, take some time to read and relax in the room. NOT! I did manage to watch a movie one night and never stayed out late. That's because I was up and dressed at a machine by 9am each day.
This is a mixture of some of the things I saw in the windows in the shopping area and of course a shot of the Eiffel Tower. If you remember my Chicago trip one of our favorite pizza places is Aurelio's. Well when I was doing my search I found out that there was one in Vegas so on Thursday after we checked out we went over and had lunch. It was awesome and we even brought several pizza's home to enjoy. The sunset was what we saw as we were getting close to home, isn't it pretty?
I actually had a wonderful time but I do know that my next trip in June '11 I will take more time to smell the roses and not the smoke of the casino. I have never been one to hope from casino to casino. I've seen most of them so usually when I go I just stay where I am at the entire time. A keno machine waits for me no matter where I am staying. I also don't do shows often because I would rather gamble and that's the truth.So I was laid up on my sofa in my office for 4 days but I'm not sure if I just overdid it or if I caught a bug. So Christmas was on hold for a few day. My daughter helped me with my tree this week, decorating the house and getting presents wrapped to mail out which I am grateful for.

I don't think it's the going and restings that sounds so inviting...it's just a 'change of pace'. So glad you had fun doing what YOU wanted to do!

I'm not much on Vegas but I've been 3 times and I'm glad I did. I think everyone needs to go and see it - it's such a unique environment.
It looks so neat there! I can imagine just walking around the city and taking it all in! My in-laws will be going there for the first time over Christmas to be with my brother-in-law...he can't come home because it's too close to his deployment date (the 27th)...they changed it on him right before he came home for Thanksgiving-he was suppose to leave at the end of Nov.
I'm glad you have been able to work on your decorating and that you are feeling better! We just did our tree last night and I hope to finish the house today (not much to do, just need to get movitated!) :-)

The room is beautiful! I am the same way. I do not spend much time in the room, but I love to sit in front of the machines or you can find me at the craps table. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop, but in Vegas...I am there to gamble and have some free drinks (I guess they really are not free, but I like to think so!)

Looks like a great place to stay! I have never played Keno but I hear it is fun. So glad your doctor could help with the tree and preparations for Christmas, hoping you feel all back to normal soon!

We stayed at the Venetian once for a company holiday party. It was awesome. They actually rented the 3-story night club and had live groups entertain us (as opposed to dead groups =D ). I love me some nickel slots, too. Last time I played, I won $40. Drives Hubby nuts.
I would never have left that room.
I don't know what Keno is but it sounds like fun? I just do the nickel machines for 15 minutes when I go, I never win anything so I don't want to spend :-D
The venetian is one of the nicest hotels there, well the Bellagio isn't too shabby either... Treasure Island can kiss my butt.
Love the shopping at Cesar's!! the ceilings in the mall are to die for :)
