WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

I just couldn't answer some of these so I had my husband join me in answering some of them.

1. How many times in your life have you moved house?
I think it's about 7 times.

2. What subject would you study if you had a year to devote to it?Photography

3. What in this world breaks your heart?
Violence against children. (DH)

4. What is one item that symbolizes the times in which we live? Why?
The federal deficit because it illustrates the desire to live beyond our means. (DH)

5. Share a favorite bumper sticker or t-shirt slogan.
Support our troops.(DH)

6. How do you like your spaghetti?
With spaghetti sauce and parmesan cheese. (DH said al dente)

7. What is one piece of advice you would give a recent, or soon to be recent, graduate?
You never have to apologize for what you don't say. Think before you speak.(DH)

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I had something for this on my mind but can't remember. My brain must be on vacation. I did buy myself Jane Fonda Walk Out w/2 low impact routines. I'm excited to try it!

Year - at first I thought the questions were easy but once I started answering them they got harder - now how does that happen! Good advise to the graduate. Vacation is getting close!!

Think before I speak...HA! I've been told that but it's never sunk in. LOL

The kids got me a Just Dance for the Wii...talk about exercise! No wonder I was thin in my younger years- I danced all the time!

That advice is good...we should all listen to that one : )

I read a great t-shirt slogan the other day:

"I love me. You should too".

I'm with you, Debby...anytime I read in the paper or see on the news about a child getting abused, my heart crumbles into a million pieces. Just this morning, there was an article about a 'mother' who had abused and killed her little 3-month old baby. That's just so far beyond my realm of understanding. Have a good one!

That is great advice! Wish someone had given it to me sooner! :)

I would love to be a better photographer. I try and blame my lack of skill on my rinky dink camera. Honeybunny has a really nice camera but I'm scared of it.

I think that I have moved into more apartments than houses. I have only lived in one house that is for my Family. Or course I lived in my parent's house but that was their house..

I am with you with wanting to study photography..

Yes any kind of violence makes me sad..

Have a great night.

Great answers. Very well said about the federal deficit. Sad thing is so many people not just the govt does the same thing.

DH did an outstanding job! I thought about the whole budget deficit/we don't have any money thing; I just didn't know how to put it into words!

Love number 7 especially!!! I am amazed at how some people talk to each other and the things they post online and on facebook!

I completely agree 100% on the federal deficit. It is amazing how many families live outside their means. If they want it, charge it - worry about it later. I cannot live a life like that, but I understand how they can, with our government as an example!

Your grad advise is one of the best I've read today. My hubby always always says and he lives by this too: "God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. Therefore we should listen twice as much as we talk."

betty said...

that was nice to have your hubby's input in this! I totally agree with him about violence against children as breaking his heart.

I think studying photography could be a very good adventure indeed!!

I am so with you on studying photography. I love taking pics, but am totally self-taught and woefully lacking in camera skillz.

I saw this T-short on a girl:
"We haven't come far enough and don't call me Baby." I loved it.

All great answers, but what really got me was ... You never have to apologize for what you don't say. I've never heard that before and I think it's simply profound!
