I hope you enjoy this, I had to do it twice! Saved it and it was gone :(
1. How has your hometown changed since you were a kid? What has changed most about the neighborhood you grew up in?
We visited my hometown when we went to Chicago last October. It looked exactly the same, nothing had changed. It was very well maintained and it felt like I never left.
2. What song makes you laugh?
"I'm Too Sexy" by the English Trio Right Said Fred from their UP album in 1992.
3. Are you a fan of Harry Potter? Read the books? Seen any/all of the movies? Will you be standing in line somewhere close to midnight later this week? For those of you playing along today who live outside the US or UK is Harry Potter a phenomenon in your part of the world?
I have seen a few of the movies. Our son Adam & Tristen are huge fans and will be in line at midnight.
4. If the truth hurts, will you tell a lie? Are we better off as a society in a world that allows no form of deception whatsoever?
The depends on the situation and the person.
5. What is your favorite 'sauteed in garlic and butter' food? Or garlic and olive oil if that makes you feel better.
We don't do garlic in our home (except for bread) but my answer would be mushrooms.
6. Attending any reunions this summer/year? High school? family? Other? Do these events stir up excitement or dread?
No reunions this year. High School reunions always stir up dread because I don't like how I look but the ones I have attended have been a lot of fun! We have a small family and do not do reunions but it would be awesome for all of us to get together.
7. Lilac, hydrangea, peony...pick one.
Lilac, I miss them from my youth in Illinois. I do love the other flowers as well.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
You have to go check this out. Imagine my surprise when I read this post from Cyndy at Putting the Fun in...DysFUNctional. Thank you Cyndy, your kind words brought me to tears and it is my pleasure reading your posts. Also when I commented on this post of hers this was what she said back to me "I was just so touched that you did that, and it reminded me what a sweet person you are, and a valuable friend."

=) I am happy that I made you happy because you make me happy!! LOL
I had a hard choice with the flower question. I love all three...peonies remind me of my grandmother because she had a yard full of them and we use to play wedding with them, hydrangreas I love because of their colors and the fact that you can buy a blue one, plant it, and watch it come up pink...and lilacs because my grandmother used to wear lilac cologne.
Great answers. I picked Hydrangreas because I HAD to pick one. I like them all.
Good post...some of those questions were difficult, huh? I agree with Fun in Dysfunction... you are a great blogging friend! <3

I miss lilacs! Our town has changed a ton. It used to be a furniture factory years ago, but now there is nothing. It's still a nice place but the history is gone.
I agree-you are deserving of that award! That song makes me smile too : )
I think garlic is a food group in this house :)
My grandmother had hydrangea bushes in her yard. My mother has one now. I loved them when I was a kid. But now most of those flowering things make my allergies go NUTS!
great answers.. number two REALLY made me laugh!!
Congrats on the award.
Happy Wednesday.
Mama Bear
As always loved reading this. I LOVE the Harry Potter books (and movies). The question about the truth was interesting... I think that if it doesn't need to be said I keep mum, but if it is something that needs to be said I do try to say something in a way that it will be well received! You are a great person and I'm so glad so many people see it!
Happy Wednesday!
Hugs-
L
I enjoyed reading your answers and really appreciate your encouragement for #4. I'm still on the fence on going, but you gave a fresh outlook!!
Your sautéed mushroom just gave me an idea of what o cook tonight. thanks, Debby.
Christine
:) Song choice!
I am going to go check out Cyndy's post, then I'll be back.
That was such a sweet post from Cyndy! She hit it right on the head, you know!
Thanks for being so great and making all of us feel so special!
"I'm too sexy" is such an arrogant song :P
That song makes me laugh!
My 40th class reunion was earlier in the year but I didn't go. I have days when I wish I had, but not many! :)
How about I Think Your Tractor's Sexy? Haven't seen any Harry Potter movies and don't want to. Too scary for me. Peonies. Just had the family reunion - good time. Going to cruise your blog for a while and catch up. :)
Lilacs make me think of growing up in Illinois, too.
I have many many students who will be standing in line at midnight to see that movie. Ah...to be young!!
love the new look of your blog..
My hometown as grown.. My old high school looks so different it is not the same.. boo..
I love the so you picked it is a funny one..
No Harry Potter here..
Love garlic for sure.. It is good for you..
No reunions this year for me.. I really had not been to any..

Funny song choice, that one makes me laugh, too!
Wow, I can't believe your hometown hasn't changed! That must be nice :)
Ugh, I have zero interest in high school reunions. Yuck!
I'd forgotten about that song, but you're right. It's so goofy and silly!

I feel the same way with reunions. I need to get something figured out so I can go, it would be good to see others!
