POST IT NOTE TUESDAY + 2 ON TUESDAY

Only Parent Chronicles

2 on Tuesday

The question this week is:
What are your pet peeves?

People who are no-reply. I like to comment to your comment and I can't. You probably think I don't like you but that is not the case. Lately I feel that maybe people do that so you go over to their blog but that is not how I blog. I go into my reader and read posts in order of date and time they were posted. (oldest first) I don't come over because you visited me. If you wrote a post I will read it.

I don't like when I find things in our trash that can be recycled!!

Lately my husband has had the habit of voicing his opinion on the service provided when we are out somewhere and he is not happy with it. It is often loud enough so it is heard and I just turn purple! He has ~0~ patience.

I'd love to start my baking but it will have to wait one more week. My younger daughter is having some minor surgery Thurs so I'm headed her way to provide tlc. We love to do gingerbread houses but I am not sure that will happen this year. My oldest is only home a few days for Christmas due to work and we'll have a houseful of company. I'll ressurrect the tradition when I have grandchildren I think : )

Sure does sound exciting around your house! Have fun!

Good luck with your tree, that must be so much work. I need to head out for baking supplies as well, I'm running low. Need to go through my recipes first. I've never made a homemade gingerbread house, the kids have asked me too though. Good luck bowling today!

I'm beginning to get the Christmas spirit (which is way early for me). Can't seem to muster up any Thanksgiving spirit yet. :-( It's too early for me to decorate, but I have been doing a little Christmas shopping.

Seems like you are doing good to prepare for the holidays, getting a little done at a time! I remember the intricacies of your tree from last year! A labor of love for sure!

You are always so good about commenting back when someone comments on your blog! I admire that!

Blogger must be up to something because it doesn't show on my Dashboard all the blogs I follow so I'm not getting updates when they post. Very frustrating!

have a good day!

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving also. I need to not stress about the Holidays either. Those are some pretty cool looking gingerbread houses. I need to make a gingerbread house with the kids this year. I will have to find candy that my Samantha can eat. I guess I could always use lots of chocolate.

I like your no stress idea. Things will get done when they are done.

the holiday is coming fast.. I am hosting Thanksgiving also. I think my mother in law is bringing everything.. I hope all goes well.. I am with you on the service thing.. Sometimes it is just wild and not helpful.. Have a great day..

I am the same way with the trash! I have pulled cans out the trash at work to put them in the recycle bin. It just bothers me!

I LOVE Christmas movies! I tend to drive my family batty watching them. I like them all, but have to admit, the cheesier and campier they are the better I like them. :)

Since every on is on a diet of some sort, I don't have a lot of baking to do which is fine with me. I have most of the shopping for gifts done but that is because I hate to shop in the snow and so I got into the habit of doing it early, now with on line shoppin, it's even easier to get it done. I've been watching the Hallmark channel as they are running a lot of Christmas movies and I love them as well. One local channel on the radio is playing Christmas music 24/7! Love that.

I don't like the no-reply people, either. I prefer to communicate with everyone who leaves a comment.

Oh, the films I have watched so far:
-Sons of Mistletoe (with a blonde Roma Downey: not good, very distracting)
-A Holiday to Remember (with Randy Travis, mmmmm)
-Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage
-A Muppet Family Christmas (three times so far, am I overdoing it?)
-All I want for Christmas
-A Dog named Christmas
To name just a few. I've got a few more coming in the next few days though, so I am happy!

I don't know if I've seen any of those Christmas movies-I'll have to check them out! :-)

I'm kinda excited about Thanksgiving this year too. It'll be at my sister's new house on Sat. with my family and my husband's family on Thanksgiving....it'll be nice not having to rush to 2 dinners (that are at the same time and day) and try to see everybody! :-)

The gingerbread house decorating sounds like fun!!! I hope all the baking works out for you-good luck! :-)

Makes me almost want to try and do a gingerbread house too.

Impressive that you're making gingerbread houses! :)

I'm not doing Thanksgiving at my house this year so there will be no stress....well maybe just a little. My niece is doing it there. We always have over 50 people. Big family!

I think the no reply thing is just that people don't know how to do otherwise. Someone had to tell me mine was like that in the beginning.

I'm hoping to get our tree up this weekend, too! Then, once Brittany gets home next week, we'll be ready to DECORATE! Yay!!!

Your plan sounds awesome.
Movies and tree up AND gingerbread houses?
I'm tired just thinking about it.

You are amazing. I look forward to seeing pictures of your ChristmasNESS.

Sounds like you have lots of plans for the holidays but that you plan to stay calm - that is a great goal!

My pet peeve - is when people don't talk first without getting mad first. Stay calm and LISTEN!

Excellent advice about not stressing over the holiday season. I was thinking that I need to do the same thing! I think I'll just be happy that all the lovelies will be home! It nearly makes me cry just thinking about it! Good tears though!

We've been watching Christmas movies too! Technically we never really stopped...shh...don't tell anyone!

I love christmas movies....christmas music...but I wait till after Thanksgiving to start...it drives me nuts to when you want to answer a comment or thank them and you can't...I don't like going back into my blog to leave a comment...
