1. William Shakespeare's birthday is celebrated on April 23rd...when did you last read Shakespeare? What's your favorite Shakespeare play?
It was maybe in High School many, many years ago. I would say Romeo & Juliet.
2. What food(s) would you recommend a foreign visitor try when they visit your home country?
Well my obvious answer would be a deep dish Chicago pizza preferably Gino's or Lou Malnati's and a thin crust pizza from Chicago preferably Aurelio's or Barone's in Downers Grove, IL.
3. What's a lie you often tell yourself?
I will just go on Pinterest for a few minutes!
4. What's something you're good at that might surprise us? Remember this is a family friendly blog!
Finding the right words to help someone during a difficult time in their life.
For most of my life I have been given compliments for saying just the right thing at the right time. I have friends who have called me just to talk when they are down because they said I always make them feel better.
5. Who is your favorite animal character from a book?
Well I didn't read much as a child, I wasn't read to as a child and with sadness I have to say we didn't read on a regular basis with our children. It actually wasn't something I was familiar with. I did think The Berenstain Bears were cute. Truthfully I didn't start reading until after my divorce and of course it was always romance novels.
6. April showers bring May flowers...do you have a green thumb?
I normally have a green thumb with my houseplants. See, my Poinsettia is still living!
7. Speaking of rainy days...which one of the following activities would you most want to spend time doing on a rainy day-
sort photos and create albums
bake cookies
read a good book
~hold an all-day movie marathon~
organize closets, cupboards, or bookshelves
try a new recipe
fix something that needs fixing
8. Insert your own random thought here.
My brain is currently on vacation!

Pinterest, the culprit for many many many lost hours of mine!
The one lie that I find myself at times now telling me, not as often though, is that I am not capable. Blessings to you Debby.
Pinterest is a downfall for a lot of people. Good answers here.
Can I join your brain?...lol
LOL with Pinterest; its like getting on blogger, I'll just go and down a quick check to see whose posted and 20 minutes later......
I read a lot to my kids growing up; I have one reader and one who will read but prefers not to, I've always been a reader myself, now just not enough time to do so :)
It is good to know the right thing to say at the right time; that is indeed a gift!
betty
I am impressed with your poinsettia. Mine never make it through Christmas.
#3-that's funny : ) You should check out Mindee's link party next month. She'll have the details up tomorrow and it starts next week. Her blog link is in my random thought today.
I'm going to have to try an authentic Chicago pizza sometime in the future...I've heard so much about them. They have to be good! I do the same thing with Pinterest. I tell myself that I'll only be on a few mins. Next thing I know, half the day is gone!
I am seriously going to have to try one of those pizzas! It's a wonderful gift to be able to say the right and comforting thing to a person when they need to hear it!
I'm playing catch up and probably won't be on the computer much as my mama is having real problems and we are staying with her around the clock. Pray for her if you get a chance! :) Thank you
We are only 4 hours from Chicago, and I've never had an authentic Chicago-style pizza. I think I need to "fix" that! ha!
Impressive that your poinsettia is still living! Mine never make it until the new year :(
How blessed you are to know the right words of comfort to say! I can only struggle, as I'm always at a loss for words during difficult times.
Pinterest is a good one! I actually avoid it unless I have a few hours cause that is what I will do. lol. I love it! I always read to my daughter but she is not a reader and it just breaks my heart. I love to read. Enjoyed all of your answers!
until next time... nel
I can keep plants alive, but I hate gardening. I love having a nice garden though!
Lol I like the brain on vacation :) I say a big amen, to saying the right things...you are gifted in that :) I love this post!
I love #3...that is the same way I am with blogs and facebook!
I do not have a green thumb. I have had to really try to keep the two plants alive that I got when my Aunt lost her battle with cancer.
I love your 'lie' - I'll just do Pinterest for a minute. I am exactly the same on the internet. I could be here for hours. Wait a minute - I AM! lol love, sandie
I've been eating Gino's East frozen pizza and I LOVE it!
Yes, Pinterest has a way with us, doesn't it?
:) to number 3-that's what I say when on pinterest or facebook.
