My second day in Florida I woke up with huge grocery bags under my eyes. I normally do not have bags under my eyes. If I do it is in Las Vegas for lack of water consumed. So I am slathering on my Coffee Bean under eye cream from 100% Pure and adding an extra layer of my Korres Wild Rose face cream. Next morning same thing! So my sister said to try Preparation H and I had heard about this over the years also.
Well I did some research on natural remedies for the bags. Of course the normal tea bags and cucumbers were on the list. The other thing on the list was potato slices. The one suggestion that surprised me was a low carb diet. Gee that certainly isn't the solution since I have been low carb since January.
The one thing they said Do Not Do is to use any of your eye creams at all which surprised me. So I was just adding misery to my already generous bags. I learned something new with that one. They also suggested the Preparation H so I went to the store and bought some. Not the best smell near your nose. My bags have gone down a little bit but I'm not sure if it was from the "H" or not using my eye creams but I know the embarrassment hasn't gone away.

Okay, enough of the silly post. My Dad and I went to see Hope Springs on Wednesday. It was really a cute movie and I could swear they were telling my story. Who told them? Guess I don't need to write that book after all! By the way, the movie is PG13 and I know kids are different today then when I raised my children but I felt it was a bit suggestive for a 13 year old to see. Just my opinion.
Have a great weekend everyone. I am here until Tuesday and I will be stopping over to visit with you when I get home.
P.S. I was just playing around and I hope I didn't offend anyone. I have never had them but I do know that hemorrhoids very uncomfortable and are not fun. ((HUGS))

Funny!!! I have heard that Prep H will shrink bags under the eyes, too. And yes, I have bought it for the 'real' problem, too. LOL
I have heard that about Prep H before, but I've not tried it.
Thanks for the tips!
I get bags too, and I am tired from the time I wake up til my head hits the pillow so it's no surprise the bags I have!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I have heard that too for bags around the eyes - lol. It is hard - I know.
Take your dad to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid - it was fantastic - I never laughed so hard.
Love, sandie
I've heard that, too. I think it's the witch hazel.
Thanks for taking one for the team.
I know now that I won't try Prep H for the bags.
This post made me smile Debby! We may try to get out and actually watch that one at the movies.
Loved your post Debby! Glad to hear about what you think of Hope Springs. I've been wanting to see it and like to hear what others think when they do.
Have a great weekend.
I love this post! It made me laugh. I miss you. Stop on by sometimes.
Blessings,
Shannon
You're probably too young to remember when sanitary supplies were behind the counter and had to be asked for at the drug store, as were condoms.....I'm glad you cleared up the bunk on this remedy for baggy eyes...I have those and puffiness....oh the joys of getting older...
Mama Bear
Good excuse for those with hemroids to use when buying.......it's for the bags under my eyes.
I am like that some days and then, other days, not so much. Every dang thing depends on my mood these days. Anyway, I really want to see that movie! And I know what you mean about the ratings. I tell the lovelies all the time that today's PG 12 is yesterday's R! Have a great time with your dad! Give him lots of hugs!
This is a cute post. I have heard that Preparation H was supposed to help with bags and I always wondered if it did. Now I know.
lol...that was funny...preparation H is also good for sunburns...have fun on your visit..
I had heard this and saw a women on tv once that used this all the time on her hole face to look young and she looked awful.. her face was drawn and weir looking.
I just had to see what you were writing about when I read the word condoms in your title! So funny! :D
I can't wait until Hope Springs comes out on DVD (we don't go to the movie theaters - too expensive and with hubby's poor hearing, it's just better to wait until the movie comes out on DVD so we can control the volume). Glad you're having a good time with your dad!
Thank you for the laughs this morning Debby...great Post!
So happy that you are enjoying your time with your Dad...treasure them my friend.
Too too funny, thanks for being the tester.
Great laughs / Enjoy the time with your Dad. Great post
Oh sweet Debby, I don't think you could ever offend!
I have heard of Preperation H for undereye circles and bags but have never tried it, I fear my shopping trip would also be with a rose colured face!
