1. I included this quote (attributed to William H. Danforth) in my blog post yesterday... "The best cure for a sluggish mind is to disturb it's routine." When was the last time you 'disturbed your routine' and how'd you do it?
Well it wasn't planned but when I didn't have internet in Mammoth Lakes I realized that there is so much in life to enjoy and that I should not spend 10 hours a day on my computer in my office everyday. Also pushing myself to go to the show is an excellent way to do it!
2. What's your favorite fried food indulgence?
I seldom eat fried foods. We never have cooked them in our home since my husband can't stand the smell of the oil. But I would say fried chicken or the Fish & Chips I had in London.
3. Did you have an allowance as a kid? What did you do with it? Do you give your own kids an allowance?
I don't believe I had an allowance. We also didn't do allowance with our children.
4. What's something you wish you knew more about?
I think it would be History. I was not a good student and never put my heart into any of it.
5. Is there anything you feel too old to do anymore? If so, what?
No, not at this time. My only hindrance has been my COPD but I will try almost anything!
6. What's a song you think has a great first line?
I can't think of one that starts right out with a great first line.
7. Who are you writing to/for when you create a blog post? In other words...as you write, who is the audience in your head?
I would have to say all of you. One of my reasons for bloggin was to leave this for future family to read but I don't write it for them. I just want them to know my personality.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Well I should have arrived home last night. I think I may take today off to catch up on The Closer, Housewives of New Jersey, The Glee Project and The Newsroom to name a few on my DVR. Hope your having a great week!

Good answers. Not sure a lot of us had an allowance. We didn't seem to grow up in a time that allowances' were given out.
I don't think we had as much to spend an allowance on when we were kids. My parents were not in places like Target several times a week. Kids are shoppers now!
Enjoy your day of catching up : )
Great answers!
Glad you got home safely. Enjoy your day off!
I'm glad you got home safely! When I read the first line of a song question, I immediately thought "raindrops are falling on my head!" That could be because they have been daily lately.
We didn't get allowance either because there were too many of us and it would have left our parents broke!
When I started losing weight, i cut out all fried food and I don't miss it (much)....
I'm printing my blog and every time I do, it has a place to put a dedication and I put "read this and get to know me" because I'm not sure any of my children really know me at all! And I'm sure that I don't know them! :)
Have fun catching up on your DVR stuff.
Hi Debby!
Fish and chips is definitely a weakness of mine!
I didn't have an allowance as a kid, either. Of course, didn't have a Wal-Mart, Target, and very few malls.
Have a good day!
I'd like to know more about history, too, so I wouldn't feel like such a dunce sometimes. It was one of those things that I could never stand in school!!!
Glad your home, enjoy your "down time" with the DVR :)
I have one more to catch up on the New Jersey gang too. They crack me up! I didn't do allowance with my kids either. I hated history as a student too, but like you, I really wish I knew more of it now.
I LOVE history :) When I was in school I always thought it was like story time! And who doesnt like story time...my problem is remembering the dates.
I am too old to rollerblade any more. Waaaaaaaaaa!
(afraid I'll fall and break something.
I have to stop at number 1! My mind is so rattled from our internet woes I can't begin to tell you! LOL
Glad you are home and back blogging.
Love, sandie
I add all my blog posts and poems, papers into my personal journals. Someday, the whole thing will belong to my nieces, grand nieces and nephews etc... I'll be that family celebrity because I'm writing the book. :)
But I blog for me to the people who read it. I'm like you; I'm leaving my personality!
I love seeing all your answers....
Ah, the fish and chips that look very much worthy of a trip to London...after Birdie and Evan posted that picture of the fish and chips they had over there, I am STILL craving it! :) No allowance here either- when I was growing up or when raising the lovelies. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at Mammoth Lakes- it looks like a nearly perfect place to spend a few days...or weeks...or....
