Each year when I watch the award shows I am always sad to see the number of people who have passed away during the year. In honor of their lives I am sharing this video from last nights Emmy's.
When I watched it - I knew some not others - and surprised by some. I think about all the big stars and all the money in the world can't save you from death.I don't mean to sound morbid - but it is true isn't it?
Debby, It always surprises me too, because I forget about some of them. I loved that they had Marvin's song playing background. My big plan after moving here was to stalk these award shows, but I'm glad I was unable to last night because it was so hot there. I will wait until the Golden Globes and Oscars to make my attempt! I have always wanted to do it and now I have the opportunity! Ann
It's always so sad when you see that icons you've taken for granted as always being around, turn out to be human and pass away. What a beautiful clip honoring those we've lost!
There were some I didn't realize had passed. So many stars we grew up with no longer here. It is always touching to see who is no longer with us. thanks for sharing Debby
Wow! I had no idea that some of them had passed away. I loved Chad Everett when I was a girl. He was the "older man" crush. Phyllis Diller was hilarious! So sad.
I knew Celeste Holm had passed away: I loved her, she always looked so friendly and funny. Even in the older films. I was shocked to see Harry Morgan (Colonel Potter) had passed away. I hadn't heard that.
I saw the same video and commented that it feels like a large chunk of my childhood died this year - Andy Griffith, Andy Williams, Don Grady (from My 3 Sons), Mr. Drucker from Green Acres, and so many more.

I'm always so surprised by how many there are. It's quite touching to see it all compiled this way.

I didn't watch the show, but that is so very touching! It's sometimes hard to believe so many are gone!

It always suprises me too. When they play that part of show it always leaves me with a lump in my throat.
