We ran out to Oak Glen CA yesterday to pick up some apples. We didn't do the whole Oak Glen experience like we did last year with our children but it was still nice to go. We have a favorite ranch that we always stop at so that is what we did.
We went to pick up our favorite Rome Beauty apples.
Didn't get the Granny Smith's
but they are my next favorite apple.
We did pick up a pumpkin.
Even found a little color change in some leaves!

I should probably eat more apples. These days my wife seems to favor the Honey Crisp variety.
YOU JUST REMINDED ME THAT I HAVE WANTED TO GO TO OUR ORCHARD. SO I JUST CALLED AND THEY ARE OPEN SO ON MY WAY THANKS.

Those pictures look so "fallish"! Beautiful! when we live in SC there was an apple orchard just a few miles from us. Brings back some great memories!
Yum! I have been eating an apple every day and it would be nice to have fresh ones.

I was thinking today that I'd like to get some apples and make applesauce. My favorites for that are winesaps, but they can be hard to find My favorite apples just to eat are gala.

Oh Debby - I love to go for apples and pumpkins and caramel apples and apple pies and well you get my drift - wish I could have gone with you!
No apple orchards around here but we do have a Pumpkin Patch so I took my little Princess there this weekend. Happy new week!

I was just thinking of this place yesterday, Debby; we went there one year when we lived in Murrieta and I really enjoyed it! Glad you had a great time there and got some apples! Bet the weather was just about "picture perfect" for it!
