1. What is ONE thing or area in your home or life you hope to report is
completely organized when 2013 draws to a close? Do you have a plan to make it
happen?
It is every area in my home. Okay maybe not the living room, that room is okay but every drawer, kitchen cabinet, dresser, closet, buffet and hutch need to be organized. This has been on my list year after year after year. I am pumped and I am motivated! Now we will have to wait and see.........
2. What's the worst uniform you've ever had to wear for a job?

I've never had to wear a uniform only an apron and it was fine with me.
3. What was your last kitchen 'mishap'? This question comes to you courtesy of Betty who blogs over at A Glimpse Into Midlife...everyone go say hi to Betty!
Hi Betty! I know I had some trouble making caramel/chocolate covered pretzels for Christmas gifts but it was my first time. Actually we kept them all here at home and everyone loved them. They just didn't look like a Mrs. Prindables pretzel. I was making them for the kids at bowling and later I thought I should have just used them. Now if I spent more time in the kitchen cooking maybe I would have a better answer for you :)
4. How do you protect yourself from other people's negativity?
I don't know if I do but I do know with age come an attitude where you don't give a sh** anymore!
5. Who in your family do you most resemble (physically)? If you have children, who do people say they favor? Do you agree?

5. Who in your family do you most resemble (physically)? If you have children, who do people say they favor? Do you agree?
I look like my mother. Since my mother has passed away and I have visited their friends from HS with my dad, they say that I look just like her. Well my son favors my side of the family yet he has blue eyes from my husband. My daughter favors my husbands side of the family yet she has my eyes. Our son Adam's picture at 2 years old looks exactly like my dad's picture at 2! Even though Amber favors her dads side she still looks like me! My son has my heart and even though my daughter has a wonderful heart she is more like her father.
6. January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day...will you be celebrating?
Well I didn't know that and I have no plans to celebrate but maybe I should take a Bubble Bath!
7. Some of the 'world's best winter festivals' are - Mardi Gras (New Orleans), Quebec Winter Festival (Canada), Sundance Film Festival (Park City, Utah), Rio Carnivale (Brazil), Sapporo Snow Festival (Japan), Venice Carnivale (Italy) and the Harbin Ice Festival (Northern China). Of those listed (and if cost were not a factor) which would you most like to attend and why?
I would attend the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. Why?....movies, that's why!
8. Insert your own random thought here.

We went to see "Singing in the Rain" at the show on Saturday evening. Mark didn't want to go but he joined me and he actually enjoyed it! Wow, they sure can dance and sing. Isn't it amazing the talent some people are born with?
So we are in line getting our tickets and a woman was in the line next to us with her six year old son. She was buying two adult and two children tickets to Texas Chainsaw in 3D. Doesn't that just make you sick to your stomach? How long are we going to be wondering where these senseless acts of violence come from! If a parent doesn't protect their children's young minds what hope do we have for our world?

Don't just wait and see about those kitchen cabinets and hutches and stuff (didn't know you kept rabbits by the way): do something about them. Just empty one and reorganise!
I favour my Mum in looks. In fact when I was younger and I went out with my grandmother on a collecting spree (for the red cross), they would know my Mum was home because of me! I favour my Dad in behaviour though, although there is quite a bit of my Mum mixed in.
I can't believe parents that take their young children to see those movies that is just nuts!
There is no way I would take my kids to see that movie. We do not let the kids see horror movies.
Good for you about not taking Sh@t off someone. I have found the older I am getting I am the same way.
That movie is rated R so I'm surprised that they were able to take their children to see it....goes to show just how serious people take the ratings.
Mama Bear
I agree with your #4 and #8! I think kids see too much violence on TV and video games for their young minds! Your pretzels look yummy! Happy WednesdaY!
Hope we both get our stuff organized this year!
That is upsetting to think about that 6 year old child seeing that movie. What is she thinking???
Yes - someone else who'd do the film festival :)
I love the coming with age thing... I can totally see that happening to me too :)
Debby, your pretzels look great! You should have seen my Oro truffles! They looked NOTHING like the pretty ones on Pinterest but they tasted great. The trick I got from Pinterest for loading up ketchup and mustard bottles with the colored chocolate to drizzle it worked wonderfully though and it saved, sorta, the look. They were still ugly but tasty. Your pretzels are far prettier, I’d have given them, and I’d have been impressed to receive them.
Hehe...I knew which festival you’d pick before I read your answer. In fact when I originally read the question I figured if I picked that we’d meet in person!
A six-year-old for Texas Chainsaw? OMG Let alone subjecting kids to the violence being “fun,” it’s asking for torturing the child with nightmares. I really think the problem with violence and bullying in schools has so much to do with parents who just aren’t fit to be parents.
A sad commentary on America. I'm always surprised when I see young kids in movies rated even PG 13. I guess I shouldn't be, but I am.
I've pinned an organizational chart on Pinterest that I'm following. It is one task a day for the year...some areas don't apply to me so I skip, but it makes a big job seem less daunting. Check it out on my 'Just Do It Board'
Looks like I missed Bubble Bath Day!
I so agree about people taking kids to see violent movies. It's disgraceful.
I am currently organizing my room, and I'm thinking the kitchen is next. None are in terrible shape, though.
And I look like my father, and his mother before him. My younger son is clearly from the same line!
AMEN, Sista! to #4!!!! And I LOVE it! Your pretzels turned out like mine would have- maybe not as pretty but delicious! WTH? A little kid to THAT movie? I won't even see that one. Good grief.
I think your pretzels looked GREAT! And if you look like your mom - she was pretty. And I am like you - I just do not let or I try not to let people's negativity ruin my day.
Those pretzels of yours looked great; I bet with practice they will only get better looking (but I bet they were delicious!) I too agree with you about young kids going to movies like that; what do parents think (I think it could be because they want to see the movie, can't find a sitter so they take the kids with them....)
betty
LOL on #4 and an AMEN on your random thought. Young children have a hard time distinguishing between fantasy and real-heck adults do!
I to am so wanting to get my whole home so organized my husband won't be able to stand it. I got a little lax in 2012.
I love 'Singing In The Rain'. I also love to watch movies from that Era.
Your pretzels look very yummy!
Oh I think your pretzels look fabulous! And for me, it would have to be Venice!
Your pretzels are perfectly fine, I say! MOST of us make them like that! Sundance would be amazing and I do know you love those movies. :)
I was a waitress at Pizza Hut in high school, and I absolutely hated the visor and brown polyester uniform I had to wear! It hot and itchy!
I cannot believe a parent would take their children to see a movie like that. Ed and I are uncomfortable with our girls seeing PG movies sometimes!
