We stayed at the Palazzo this time. Loved it and it's attached to the Venetian which we have stayed at before. We got a great view with our room. The rooms are always small suites with 2 or 3 televisions. Not like we spend much time in the room.....but anyway our view was of the Wynn and the Encore. Their pool and golf course look amazing. Mark went to check out his convention and I gambled. I did okay. No big wins but enough little ones to keep me playing on their money. I left about $40. there, can't say the same for Mark! We had a wonderful dinner at Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse in the Venetian. It was a delicious meal. I had a steak, fresh tomato salad and we shared the asparagus and mushrooms. The potato was Mark's. (Sorry about the fuzzy pictures. I only take my phone and I will not use a flash in a restaurant) Notice the price of that one bottle of wine!
We were able to stop at our favorite Chicago chain Aurelio's pizza place in Henderson, NV on our way home. It's not on the way but it's not to far out of the way. We also took a few home with us!
On the way home we drove into some storms closer to home through the pass. You could see the fresh powder of snow on the mountain tops all white and fluffy. The clouds were really hanging low. We didn't run into any rain driving but it has been raining ever since we returned home.

8:00AM Wednesday until 4:00PM Thursday......

How fun to be close enough for a quick trip! We had a foot of snow yesterday and it's sunny and 50 degrees today-crazy!
Those cloud pix are stunning! Do you ever wonder how much different a bottle of wine like that really tastes? How disappointing it would be to discover very little difference. LOL Glad you had a good time!

I like how you spent your 32 hours, Debby! What is really neat about Las Vegas is it is really not that bad of a drive from where you are at and at times can be scenic. Sounds like you guys had a great time too. And no I too wouldn't spend that much on a bottle of wine. Can you imagine?

I'm kinda with you about the gambling. If I have enough to just keep the play going for a while, I'm content with that and chalk it up to the cost of entertainment. Vegas is fun!
