Well I am happy to report that when I went to the Casino in Indio, CA earlier this week I was thankful to bring home the money I brought with me plus $260. more dollars. I like to play Keno and it has been awhile since I've hit 8 numbers but I hit it twice playing 20 cents a hand. They were about 40 minutes apart and it was 4,000 nickels each time! I really like that they print out tickets now because I remember all the years of dirty hands from the coins.
Mark and I went to see Last Vegas (IMDb) yesterday. I really enjoyed it and it was fun seeing them at the Aria which is where we had stayed in October when we were in Las Vegas! People were waiting in line already to see Hunger Games last night. It was a cold and rainy day here yesterday. I hope to see it soon because I loved the first one.
"Three sixty-something friends take a break from their day-to-day lives to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for their last remaining single pal."
Today I mailed out my 500th handkerchief from my "For Your Tears" blog. I still love the fact that it is a small ministry which allows me to keep up with it financially. This means I personally mail out approximately 125 handkerchief's each year. I have also made donations of 338 handkerchief's to people who have used them in the care packages that they give to the hospital in memory of their child.
I'm actually excited about Thanksgiving but I have to say that this year has just flown by so quickly. We will have the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green bean casserole and probably some sweet potatoes for me. No one else likes them so I usually bake a few for myself.
I usually have rolls but Adam is going to make some fresh bread for our feast. I am planning on making a Butternut Squash Soup too and we have a Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert. I am sure you will all agree with me that the best part is always the leftovers the next day!
I am also getting excited for my trip to Orlando on December 2nd. I will do two Disney World Parks like I did last year while Mark is at a convention. I think this year I will do Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Last year I did The Magic Kingdom and Mickey's Christmas Party in the evening and also Epcot one day. Then we will go over to my dad's and visit with family for 3 days!!!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Enjoy the trip!!!
Oh my, you sound extremely busy! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving and trip and everything. And only 32 days until Christmas!
Wow, that Florida trip will be here soon.
I'd like to see Last Vegas ... the commercials look like it is quite funny.
I would like to take my boys to Disney in the next couple of years, if we can scrape up the $. Have fun!
sounds like you have a wonderful Thanksgiving planned and the trip to.. lots of things to look forward to. the menu sounds perfect to me
congrats on the getting on the 'plus side' of keno! :)
Did you like the Aria when you stayed there? We stayed across the way at the Vdara when I was there last year, but the rest of the people there for the wedding were at the Aria. I'll have to see the movie to see if I recognize anything :-)
Congrats on the wins at the casino!
Enjoy your trip!! It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun! :-)

You inspire me Debby!
Congrats on the winning, Debby. And have fun in FL. I am going on Dec 5 to the 10th. I will be in Cape Coral. Did you know we bought a house there right next to my daughter's? I have seen you lately. I have been so busy. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. ...Christine
How fun that you WON money at the casino!!!
We have such a large family that our Thanksgiving will be huge. We each bring our "traditional" dishes. I take sweet potato casserole and squash casserole. We will have entirely too much food and tons of desserts!
Have fun in Orlando!!! I love Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!
Congrats on the $260. The vegas movie looks cute. I want to see it!
We just came back from Disney -- lucky girl.
Have a nice weekend!

I think your For Your Tears project is so wonderful!
Your Thanksgiving sounds yummy.
Enjoy your trip to my neck of the woods!
What a great project you have with For Your Tears. And I agree, this year has flown by. Hard to believe it's Thanksgiving already and Christmas is around the corner. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have fun on your trip!
That movie is on our list to see..:)
Your menu sounds just like mine...and I am already so hungry for it all.

thanks giving sounds wonderful. we are not going to do a Turkey this year for my little Americans, I'll find them something though.
Wow you have been so busy having fun. I miss my fun trips to Vegas and I did see the movie. It was worth seeing.
I also saw the Hunger Game yesterday and it was also good.
Hope you enjoy your Disney trip I have never been myself.
This year has really flown by.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Love ya
Maggie
Congratulations on winning! We have a casino about five-minutes from our house. We used to go whenever we had nothing to do but after a few losses we stay away.
I am hoping to get to the movies at least once over the holidays. We are going to our community theatre but a movie would be nice too.
Your mission is inspiring. Have a blessed holiday and a great trip.

Congratulations on your 500th handkerchief! That's an amazing milestone, Debby!
Congrats on both the win and the handkerchief milestone!
Happy for you and those benefitting from your kindness.
Animal Kingdom was our favorite park when we took the kids there a bajillion years ago.
We had the same stuff for Thanksgiving, but Mr.4444's mom and I are the only ones who like mashed rutabagas, so she always makes a small bowl just for us :)
Thanks for linking up! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
