Volume 153
1. According to Oxford Dictionaries, the 2013 word of the year is 'selfie'. Your thoughts? When did you last take a selfie? Do you post them online somewhere? Do you prefer to be in front of the camera or behind the lens?
I posted one 'selfie' when I was in Paris sitting at my computer looking into the mirror above the desk in our hotel room. That was two years ago. I have tried numerous times and I just can't do it, the pictures looks horrible!
2. Will you send out Christmas cards this year? If so, are they ready to go? If not, are you glad or sad about leaving that tradition behind?
I will, I always will God willing! No they are not ready to go but my Dad at 90 and my sister make sure their cards arrive right after Thanksgiving day. Not me, my goal is that they are received before December 24th. I would be sad not sending cards out anymore.
3. Do you trust easily?
I use to but not so much anymore but I am still pretty gullible.
4. Pine-cinnamon-peppermint-vanilla (as in sugar cookie)...of those listed, which one is your favorite December scent?
Definitely pine! I have a favorite candle from Illume that is to die for.....
5. Did you do more talking or more listening yesterday? Was that by choice or necessity?
I definitely did more talking. I get real chatty when we travel and I don't shut up, especially on the ride to the airport.
6. What's the last song that got stuck in your head? Sorry if it's back there now : )
It would be a Christmas song but I don't have one right now. Being at Disney's Hollywood Studios with Christmas music all day I have several in my mind. I do however remember listening to Kermit sing a Christmas song.
7. Which world explorer (in the whole history of the world) would you most like to have traveled with, and why?
I'm not sure if he is a world traveler but I would have loved to travel with Ansel Adams. Of course today I wouldn't mind traveling with Rick Steves.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Well I spent 9 hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios yesterday and today I will be at the Animal Kingdom. I am pretty exhausted and tired as I type this. It's past 11:00 pm now and I need to sleep. Got in at 1:00 am Monday night/Tuesday morning and didn't fall asleep until 4:00 am so I was running on fumes yesterday. I better get some sleep!
Oh and because of my state of exhaustion I also ended up marking everything as read on my Feedly account tonight so I definitely missed your recent posts and I doubt I will have time to find them next week when I'm home....so sorry :(

Enjoy those Disney parks to the hilt! Sounds like you're going non-stop! Can't wait to hear what you think about the Animal Kingdom! Be sure to take lots of pictures!
I'm with you on #1 - no matter how many times I try, I look just awful in self-photos. Even if I'm looking in the mirror and can see my face as I take it, it still comes out terrible.
I hate selfless!!!!
And I don't trust easily...
Hope you have a great time at Animal Kingdom. Enjoy your trip and get some rest! :)
Your trip sounds so fun.
I don't generally like pictures of myself, so I'm not prone to selfies.
I do hope you get a lot of photos from Animal Kingdom to post, can't wait to see them. make a reservation for three so I can go with you and Ansel... i posted selfies for the past 3 years, but did not know they were selfies until about a year ago. the reason i did is because the only way to get my pic was in a mirror because bob takes really bad ones, because he has no patience with a camera. i do have to say i do NOT like photos of me and stay behind the camera at all times.
i'm tired just thinking about you being tired! :)
haven't decided if i'm sending cards this year. really should. i didn't last year and it is often the only time i contact some of my older siblings.
I went to Disney World at Christmastime years back and liked seeing it decorated. It's a fun time to go and the crowds are not as big. (We got everyone in the family a little something with Mickey on it - so it made gift buying easy! just a thought.)
I'm chatty when I travel too, so we'd make quite the pair : ) Enjoy your Disney adventure!
Selfies are really hard to do! Or at least do them well. Get some sleep and have fun!
Hey Debby!
Have a great time at Disney! You can always blog when you get home :)
I'm going to pester you until you post a 'selfie'. LOL
Glad you did get to Florida safe and sound, Debby. I'm with you about selfies, I've only tried a couple of times, never posted them, but they just didn't come out right. I think it is neat you send cards, seems like a lot of people are getting out of the habit of doing so these days.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
betty
Man, I sure hope you got some much needed sleep! This time of year, many people go without sleep in order toget so much done. I do trust easily but don't cross me - because it will be a lot harder to trust you again.
Okay it's funny - pine is not my smell.
And I am a listener not a talker.
And I don't send cards out - I find it a little expensive these days.
And I have never taken a selfie - do you have to have a tripod - I need to get a new photo for my blog! lol
