Head on over to Joyce's and join in!
1. Times Square is the setting for the infamous ball drop signaling a brand new year....when did you last 'drop the ball' on something?
Nothing specific comes to mind but if I did I probably blogged about it.
2. What is one thing you resolved to do in 2013 that you actually did?
I knew I wanted to have a 90th Birthday party for my father with all the family there and I accomplished that. (Except for my brother, he didn't show which I'm still very bitter about)

3. Jack London is quoted as saying, "You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club." Agree or disagree? Why?
Well I probably agree with his statement but I wonder if he would say the same thing today if he were on Pinterest!
4. What was the best thing you ate in 2013?
Well I had several awesome dinners out but the best was definitely the Filet Mignon we had at The Palm in San Diego.
5. Share an anti-resolution...that is, something you plan to keep on doing in the new year.
I will continue to eat healthy which I've been doing for two years now. (Okay, the last two weeks don't count, right?)
6. The Pantone color of the year for 2014 is radiant orchid. Like or no like? Would I find this color anywhere in your home or wardrobe? Will you add something in this shade to either?
It's actually a very beautiful color. I doubt you will find it in my wardrobe and I doubt that you will.
7. In three words or less sum up your 2013.
Tears-Broken-Joy
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Good to know.....

I love the color and it's in our bedroom. Yes the last 2 weeks of eating don't count. I'm with you on that one. Happy New Year.
i love your answer to number one, and that would be my answer to. since i blog about any and everything, also that would be the answer to what i will continue doing, blogging and playing. I had to take a moment before commenting to find out from Google what Pantone is and what the radiant orchid color is... now i know, and it is not in my wardrobe and will not be... it is beautiful, but not something i would wear or paint on my walls... but my daughter in law would and if my mother were still with us she would love it
Happy New Year!!
Oh, I'm sorry that your brother didn't come to your dad's birthday party! I would be bitter about that as well. Our family is going through some hard times right now; my brother and sister are having a very hard time with my dad's remarriage...still. I have to thank you for sharing your feelings about your brother because it helps me to know that every family has difficulties from time to time.
Happy New Year, Debby! I appreciate and value your friendship throughout the years we've been blogging together!
wishing you more joys than not in 2014.
Happy 2014 from KC Debby! That Filet sounds wonderful - my kind of meal!
Ooooh, I love that colour of purple. I can see myself wearing it!
Happy New Year! All the best to you and yours.
xoxo
I might need to check out that restaurant! Always looking for a good steak!
I hope 2014 is a year with more joy, peace, love than anything else Debby for you and yours!
It is interesting why your brother didn't make it to such a milestone accomplishment of your dad's 90th birthday! It is good though that you were willing to take on the organizing of such an event and pull it off!
betty
For certain these last two weeks don't count : ) Pinterest-Ha! So true...I've found so much inspiration there. Hope this coming year is full of happiness!
Wishing you a joyful New Year :)
I agree, the past two weeks don't count...
Continuing to eat healthy is good however Christmas time is the exception. Happy 2014!
Nope, the last 2 weeks don't count...at least I hope!
Happy New Year.
I think we should laugh more this year. I am wishing you a wonderful new year. sandie
Loved the HodgePodge. If I ever get to the Palm I'm having Filet Mignon!
Happy New year to you! I look forward to the coming months of keeping up on you!
How sad that your brother didn't come to the party for your dad. Family, which should be our safe landing place, seems so often to be the place that causes the most pain. :(
Love the old fashioned New Year's card. So pretty. Best wishes for a blessed new year to you and yours.
Happy New Year!! I hope only good things for 2014
aaaw Debbie...your sum up of 2013, tears, broken, joy...I hope there was more joy than broken and tears. And for 2014, I wish you incredible joy.....and no broken. Happy New Year
Happy new year to you and yours.
Not sure on the colour. Although it seems to appear somewhat on my blog, so perhaps I should like it some more.
Not sure I got a resolution done last year, although does that awful hike count? I was ready to give it up at least a gazillion times, but did somehow manage to get to the end. Without being carried as well!!!
Happy New year my dear!!
I hadn't heard that was the color of the year. Interesting.
My mother lives in San Diego, I'm going to have to go try that Filet Mignon.
I had to google radiant orchid. I love that color. But not for my house - it's more a clothing color to me.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year my friend.
Haven't seen you around for a while. Glad to see you are doing so well!
Sandy
