~No Wednesday Hodgepodge Today~
What can I say about this first movie. I really like Seth Rogen and Zac Efron which drew me to seeing this movie. I have to admit that I laughed often but let's face it, it was way silly and of course there is nothing clean or sweet about a frat house of guys. The baby in this movie is adorable.
"A couple with a newborn baby face unexpected difficulties after they are forced to live next to a fraternity house."
If you have enjoyed Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler movies than this one is for you. I love them together and yes their movies are silly but they always seem to delight me. I did enjoy this one a lot!
"After a bad blind date, a man and woman find themselves stuck together at a resort for families, where their attraction grows as their respective kids benefit from the burgeoning relationship."
This movie was good. I thought it felt a little dark for a Disney movie but the kids in the theater seemed to like it. I'm glad that I saw it and I did enjoy the story. Angelina Jolie was great and I love Elle Fanning too.
"A vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land."
After seeing Divergent I knew I wanted to see this movie with Shailene Woodley in it. Also I didn't realize that she was the daughter in the Descendants movie with George Clooney which I thought she was great in.
This movie was very good. It was sweet, funny and just beautiful. Of course it is sad but their can be beauty with sadness.
""
"Hazel and Gus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group."
I had seen Jon Favreau on the Andy Cohen show on Bravo one night and knew that I just had to see this movie. It has so many excellent actors in it.
You need to go see this one. It is very entertaining and we were both so glad that we saw it. Everyone was excellent in their rolls and it seemed so down to earth.
I am definitely going to buy this movie when it is released on DVD. It is one of those that I could watch over and over again! (Stay to the very end of the credits)
"A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family."
Hope to have internet service today. This has been so hard and I've had more Starbucks in the last five days then I would normally drink in a year!
Say a prayer for my friend Sandie who is having surgery today for breast cancer. You are in my thoughts and prayers....(((HUGS))

Glad you enjoyed all of these. I did think "Chef" looked interesting when I saw the trailer. Hope your friend gets a good report!
We saw Neighbors Sat. night, and laughed our heads off! I was a Lil' Sis to a fraternity (CH ended up joining when we met). The house was in a "quiet" neighborhood with a family living on one side, and another fraternity house on the other. Even though the fraternity I was associated with was just a bit "Animal House-ish", the brothers got along well with the neighbors. I don't remember the police ever being called, anyway!
I think I'm going to wait to see "The Fault in our Stars" once it comes out on DVD since I read the book. I wondered how "Chef" was...it looked good, as did "Blended". We love Adam Sandler!
Prayers for Sandie!
I have seen the trailers for Angenlina Jolie movie a dozen times and i must say they did a fantastic job on her makeup and also the special effects..
We saw Chef too and just loved it! My perfect kind of movie. Hope your service is up soon! Enjoy your day!
We don't go to movies, but those all sound good! My prayers go up for your friend Sandie. We've had a lot of gals in our little community here in NE Montana get the breast cancer diagnosis in the last 13 years since we moved back here.
i watched the descendants, finally, after having it on dvr for about 6 mos. really liked it. thanks for cluing me in on her identity. :)
will watch for some of these on hbo.
I am not a huge fan of
Angelina Jolie but I loved Maleficent. It was dark but the story was an interesting twist. We did not take kids and there were none in the theater when we went. Counting the three adults(us) there were ten other adults. The theater was not packed during the afternoon showing. There were more children at the PG13 Godzilla film we saw on vacation. One was with us.
I need to get to the theater!!!!
So many to see!
I can't even begin to put in order which I want to see first!
The girls and I saw "The Fault in Our Stars" along with a whole theater of woman and teen girls. There was not a dry eye in the house! Sweet love story...and, oh, so sad! Two thumbs up from me!
I love reading your reviews. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Great reviews.
Great reviews.
I always like to read your reviews, Debby. I do want to see Blended, as well as some of the other movies you saw. I bet you will be glad to get up and running again with the Internet at your house!
Been keeping Sandie in my prayers all day.
betty
Hi Debby! I have never heard of 'Chef'...I must live under a rock or something. Definitely will check it out. That movie with Angelina Jolie looks like a good one too!
I'll add your friend Sandie to my prayer list too.
Blessings,
Ceil
