This weekend Mark and I are going to Long Beach to visit the Queen Mary ship. I'm thinking that we took the kids there once but I can't remember when.
I do know that Mark and I were there years ago when I was pregnant with Adam which would have been 36 years ago. We didn't live in CA at that time.
We bought a Groupon a few months ago to tour Diana: Legacy of a Princess a Royal Exhibition. I CAN'T WAIT!
When I was in London 3 years ago I had a few disappointments in visiting things I wanted to see in regards to Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain in Hyde Park was closed for repairs.
Then when I visited Kensington Palace where you were able to take a tour of Princess Diana's dresses was unfortunately closed. The palace was being remodeled for William and Kate to move into.
However when I was there I was able to see a Royal Helicopter land on the grounds. You have to go back and read my post about that day when you have time. Some really crazy things happened that day!
So we are heading to the Queen Mary on Sunday and also have a reservation for:
THE WINDSOR TEA EXPERIENCE
For a truly British tea experience, there’s nothing more authentic than our Windsor Tea Service. Starting with your own personal pot of gourmet loose leaf tea, the Windsor Tea includes a series of delightful tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones with locally sourced clotted cream and homemade jam, and concludes with a sweet array of petit fours. Deliciously prepared and uniquely displayed, the Windsor Tea offers guests a unique and leisurely dining experience that makes any day a special occasion.

Have fun, and eat to much... love the pic from the past...
Hope you enjoy your tour. We have a British Tea Room here...so I know a little bit about how nice yours will be!
Oh the fun you will have. Enjoy yourselves to the max. Then come back and tell us all about it.
What a cute picture of you and Mark from years ago, Debbie :)
Have fun with the Queen Mary and the Windsor Tea Experience! We spent our honeymoon on the Queen Mary :)

I am so enjoying getting to know you through your posts, and did go back to read about your experience with the helicopter. My blogging friend, Judy, loves England and posts about her time there every Friday. If you would like to visit her, here is the link: http://cranberrymorning.blogspot.com/2014/08/good-fences-and-early-anglophile-friday.html
I know you will have a great time touting the Queen Mary, and with the tea experience! Isn't Groupon the best?! Great deals, indeed!
Hi Debby, the tea experience sounds awesome.
Have a great trip!
have a great time1
Sounds like a fun weekend to me. Enjoy!
The Queen Mary was one of the best parts of my L.A. trip a few years ago!! I saw the Ghost Hunters episode where they went on the ship...it sucked because one of their staff members rigged things and made the TV hosts mad. It pretty much ruined the whole episode, but it was fun to hear all the scary stories, both on the show and on the tour.
Enjoy! Sounds like fun!
We toured the Queen Mary about 19 years ago and enjoyed it so much!
Oh my gosh I hope you had a nice time - and I love that picture of your and hubs - look at his hair!
That sounds like a lovely day out and I loooooooooove a proper afternoon tea! Quite jealous!
I loved seeing your updates this weekend on FB. Looks like you and Mark had a fab time.
The tea sounded amazing :)
You looked like a teenager!!! Where did those 36 years go right?
Beautiful pictures. I remember reading about your delightful trip 3 years ago.
Beautiful.
Thinking of you today with the earthquake yesterday. Not sure where you are located but I hope all is well.
Oh have fun, Debby. I would love to visit that someday too....Christine
Hi Debby, I'm stopping by to let you know I've awarded you a Liebster Award. Please let me know if you answer the questions so I can come read them. Thanks
Have a great day!
I'm late in 'catching up', but I hope you had a wonderful time, over the weekend. I hope you'll share your experience with us because visiting the Queen Mary sounds quite interesting!
Loved the pic of you and hubby from 36 years ago! Gotta' love that look of the 70's! If you lived through the 70's, there's no doubting when you see pics of it:)
Hi Debby!
How was your tea on the Queen Mary?
My best friend took me for tea there a few years ago. It was wonderful enjoying it on the ship. So beautiful!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Have a wonderful week,
Suzanne
