My prayers are with the families who lost
their loved ones on this sad day in September 2001....
Lamentations 3:20- (NIV)
I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.
Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
"We put our hope in the LORD.
He is our help and our shield" (Psalm 33:20)

Those images are so moving to a New Yorker like me who grew up seeing that skyline everyday when I went to school in Brooklyn and later worked down the street from the WTC.
Our generation will never forget and hope other generations will do the same.

Amen, Debby, we will never forget. I like the verses you chose for today. I too prayed for the families; I'm sure even though it was 13 years ago, it just is so real to them years later with the grief of the day, etc.
