1. What's something you take for granted, that when you stop and think about it you feel truly grateful for?
I take for granted the hard work that Mark does not only at his job but also all the trimming and time he spends keeping the outside of our house looking great! Also the fact that he has a job is a huge blessing that I often forget to be thankful for. Now if only I could get him to wash windows and wash my car!
2. The color brown-love it or no? What's your favorite shade of brown? Most loved something in your home or closet in a shade of brown?
I love brown and I think I like most of the shades. I'm going to go with our brown leather furniture in our family room.
3. What's something you're looking forward to today?
Well that would be at the end of my pulmonary lung function test today. It is supposed to take 1 1/2 hours without any of my medications or inhalers!
4. The word 'feminism' is not new, but it has been generating all kinds of headlines in recent days and months. What do you think/feel when you hear the word? If you're a woman, do you want to be described as a feminist? Why or why not?
Wikipedia says this: "A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women" and I agree with that. I do not watch the news so I have no clue what is going on in the headlines.
5. What's something you personally can't eat without making a mess?
That would be a pomegranate.
6. When did you last surprise someone with a little gift or when were you last surprised by someone with a little gift? What was it?
Actually I am surprising someone with a gift tomorrow. It is a Queen Elsa ornament from Hallmark.
7. Share a favorite quote, saying, song lyric or scripture relating to gratitude.
This is the first thing that popped into my heart. My all time favorite song which expresses the gratitude I feel for our Lord.

My husband Mark celebrated his 63rd birthday yesterday. We are actually celebrating it on Sunday when we have our early Thanksgiving dinner with the kids. I can't wait....well what I mean is that I can't wait to eat our feast and celebrate his birthday but as far as preparing it well that's another story altogether!

Enjoy your Thankabirthday celebration!
I love this song and have not heard it in years, we used to sing it a lot in church... Brown is not a color i use, but i do love your brown room, it is beautiful, so i may change my mind about it...
i make a mess eating oranges, spaghetti, anything with crumbs...and if i eat out and it has red sauce on it i always get it on me... enjoy the TG/birthday this week end..
i know you'll love that family celebration. happy birthday to your non-window-washing man! :)
good luck with the lung test!!
Happy belated birthday to Mark, Debby! I know you guys will enjoy celebrating everything this weekend :)
It is easy to take our husbands and their jobs for granted, but thankful that Mark is a great provider for you all and does do some things around the house :)
Shout to the Lord is one of my favorite praise songs too. There was a time I could not sing it without crying; its just such a beautiful song with lyrics.
betty
Enjoy your family feast and celebrating your hubs! Shout to the Lord is one of my favorite songs in the world.
Happy Birthday to your husband! And I'm trying hard not to covet that brown leather furniture! Mr. C. says no leather furniture until we no longer have dogs and cats. Wah. :-)
Love your answer to #1. Your acknowledgement speaks volumes to what a great relationship you all have.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving/birthday celebration!
Thanks for reminding me I need to get to Hallmark and get the ornaments I give for gifts at Christmas before they are all gone! Yikes!
I hope your lung function test goes ok and I know you will be glad when it's over!
I'm glad to finally be visiting!!!
Enjoy Mark's birthday/Thanksgiving celebration! I know what you mean about the cooking though... Happy Birthday to your hubby :)
Happy birthday to Mark! I hit 63 in a few weeks. Yikes!
I love your family room's brown leather furniture! No wonder you chose that as a favorite!
Another fun Hodgepodge!
Have a great Thanksgiving and Birthday Party. I had that Lung function test and it was OK. I hope your test was easy for you and you get good results.
As one who likes the END of MRIs, I completely understand your answer to what you look forward to!
Happy Birthday to your hubs!
I hear ya on the preparation issue. I love having people over and spending time together but that prep... At least we have the week off from school so I'm hoping to get most of it done and only have to cook things I've already prepared. We'll see how it goes. Glad you're tests are nearly over. Let us know how it goes!
Happy Birththankgiving Day!
Love your brown room. Looks so peaceful!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
I love your brown room. It's beautiful!
I also have to agree with you on #4.
I suppose anything can be taken to extreme.
How did your pulmonary test go?
I hope it went well!
Thanks for visiting!
I always like these days because I still learn things about my friends. I am grateful after I get out of the shower for feeling so clean and refreshed! Love brown eyes of both my grandsons! Happy Thanksgiving.
Shout to The Lord is one of those songs I loved the first time I heard/sang it and never tire of singing. Happy celebrations!
It makes me crazy that people have taken the word "feminist" and turned it into something horrible. Any right-thinking person, who knows the actual definition, is a feminist.
