I went to see Miracles from Heaven a week ago Wednesday. Wow, what a great movie and it is based on a true story. Bring your Kleenex!
"A young girl suffering from a rare digestive disorder finds herself miraculously cured after surviving a terrible accident."
The next day, Thursday, I had bowling followed by a CT Scan but had decided to stay out in the area for a few more hours because Mark was arriving at the Ontario, CA airport around 5 pm. It is about 25 miles from our house so I decided to see a movie.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. This story is based on a book called "The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan." It really shows you things up close and personal in the life of a reporter.
"A journalist recounts her wartime coverage in Afghanistan."
Then last Friday Mark and I went to see The Divergent Series: Allegiant. We both liked it a lot. I feel like I would have liked a little more from the movie but it is definitely worth seeing. There will be one more installment and I will definitely miss seeing these people!
"After the earth-shattering revelations of Insurgent, Tris must escape with Four beyond the wall that encircles Chicago to finally discover the shocking truth of what lies behind it."
It's a Good Friday....

glad tina fey's movie was good. she's such a talent.
really want to see miracles from heaven.
I read the book Miracles from heaven so would like to see the movie to see how it compares
I saw the trailer for whiskey and thought it was a war movie.. good idea to wait and not drive that extra 50 miles.
Fun movies to see.
I haven't read the book but I've heard a lot about it.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Miracles sounds intriguing!
Unfortunately, I've a bad habit of not being able to look beyond an actor's personal life to enjoy their role(s) ... so I'll be skipping Whiskey, Tango Foxtrot. (So as to be fair to Ms. Fey's politics, I haven't watched Brad Pitt in anything since he kicked Jennifer Aniston to the curb. LOL!)
I didn't realize Divergent was going to be a 4 part one like the Hunger Games was. I did like both series. I'm glad you reviewed Whiskey Tango Trot, it looks kind of interesting in the previews, but you just never know. I do want to see Miracles are for Real; I'm sure I will cry too!
Happy Easter!

I never watch movies... that has to change
Thanks for the reviews Debby. I am looking forward to watching them.
