Volume 279
Thank you Joyce :)
Head on over and join in......
1. Are there any men or women in blue on your family tree?
No there are not.
2. Are you someone who suffers from the Sunday night blues? What helps you get over it?
No I do not suffer from Sunday night blues.
3. I read the color blue is an appetite suppressant since there are very few naturally blue foods out there. How do you feel about blue cheese? Love it or blech? If you're a fan, what's something you like that's made with blue cheese?
I don't hate it but I'm certainly not a big fan. One thing I do enjoy is at Cat Cora's Kitchen in Houston International Airport. They have an appetizer with house made chips with warm Blue Cheese dip.
4. We can't head in to the Labor Day weekend without a related question, can we? Complete this thought: I work best when____________________.
I work best when I'm limited with time. What I mean is that you know you need to go around and clean before company, you have all the time in the world but you accomplish most of it last minute. That's me!
5. 'Everything yields to diligence.' Antiphanes Your thoughts? (on this particular quote or on diligence in general)
No there are not.

"Careful and persistent work or effort" Sounds good to me!
6. The National Park Service turned 100 years old on August 25th. Have you been to many of America's National Parks? If so share with us a favorite or two. Which National Park would you most like to visit before the next birthday rolls around?
Well my next birthday is here in about 33 days so I don't have any plans to visit one by my next birthday. National Parks are awesome. Great list here....
I've been to several parks but would still love to visit as many as possible. Rocky Mountain National Park was one of the first ones I saw. Took my breath away. I've been to Yellowstone, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, and I believe the Grand Tetons.
7. Bid farewell to August in seven words or less.
The Big Apple stole my heart, literally!
8. Insert your own random thought here.

no blue in our family, no blue in my house, I have never had the Sunday blues, when I do get blue it is caused by other HUMANS..I have never been to a Natl park, but have been in many many state parks and love them. I am afraid the parks are a done deal for me, no longer able to hike them but would if I could. so glad you got the visit the big apple...
Nobody in blue, but my father was in green for years (military), would that count?
I have yet to spend more than 8 hours in the United States, so I haven't visited any national parks. I think the closest was the Badlands in Canada which I absolutely adored!
what a neat tribute to gene wilder...
warm bleu cheese dip... yum!
I hope you're feeling better and managing the new health challenge. I've been to the Rockies, but hope to get to more parks out west one day, particularly Yosemite. Have a great day Debby!
We have blue in our family. I LOVE bleu cheese! And I hope your heart is feeling better!!! :)))
That was sad to hear about Gene Wilder. First thing I thought of was Gilda and their love. I have a friend who is making it a point to vidit as many national parks as she can and she is doing it with her mom. Its fun to watch their adventures on Facebook. Hope your are feeling better

I have also been to three National Parks in Utah - Bryce, Zion, and Arches. Talk about breathtaking!! Someday I would love to visit Glacier National Park. I think I have a secret longing to see a moose!
XO
So glad you enjoyed The Big Apple. Hope you are feeling better than last week.
I have two nephews in the navy - does that count? And I like blue cheese myself and have you ever had the wedge salad? Yum? So are you a procrastinator? I am sad about Gene Wilder too. You loved NY. You are feeling better. And I love Sunday nights because it mean Monday and school. lol
NYC stole your heart, I love it. :-)
Have a blessed weekend,
Carla
I love the national parks. I wish I could see every single one.
I'm a last-minute accomplish-er, too!
If it weren't for the occasional house guest ... (sigh).
Debby, You need to give my friend Bridget Collins credit for her artwork of Gene Wilder. She posts as Flora Forager. https://www.facebook.com/Floraforager/
You've been to a lot of great parks.
I'm intrigued. That warm blue cheese dip sounds amazing. I will have to look for a recipe. I am good last minute too, depending on what it is I have to do. Sometimes, I need time. How are things going? Are you taking care of yourself? Is everyone cooperating and not causing you stress? My cousin is doing well, finally. He goes into a rehabilitation center next week and, hopefully, home a week after that with in home care. This one was really scary. You be careful!
It truly is amazing all we can accomplish when we know it absolutely must be done. Especially when company is coming. I really like bleu cheese and warm blew cheese dip sounds yummy.
I figure if the house is good enough for me, the guest will have to either like it or leave. Back when Suzanne and I were first married, we had several people come and stay past my bedtime. I walked them to the door, told them to come again when they could stay longer, gently pushed them out the door, and shut it behind them. No one ever got mad. Most thought how I handled it was funny.
What a pretty floral tribute to Gene Wilder. I have seen some really amazing floral artwork...I wish that I could do that!
An early happy birthday wish to you, because I am horrible at remembering. :)
Have a blessed week.
Wonderful tribute to Gene Wilder. I loved him. Good to visit with you this week. Hope you have a great Labor Day Weekend.
I am with you on Question #4, I'm a procrastinator as well. I love your R.T. Gene Wilder was a good, gentle man who brought the world lots of laughter. In my humble opinion he was to best Willy Wonka. Way better than Johnny Depp. Have a great Labor Day Holiday.
When I was in school, I used to be blue on Sunday evenings all the time! But now that I'm older, I don't mind them.
There are so many great National Parks in California, but some of them can be challenging to get to with the mountains! I was surprised about that when we visited. California is so much more that just the coastline, and I think a lot of people forget about that. I also remember driving by one of your favorite places--Mammoth Lakes, I think?--when we were there!
Hi Debby, Can't believe that it is Labor Day weekend. Loved all your answers. May you have a joy filled weekend.
Hugs,
Noreen
I love NYC and can't wait to go in January and April - one of my favorites places to visit! So hope you are feeling better - happy Sunday!
Such a sweet tribute to Gene Wilder.
The bleu cheese dip you mentioned sounds delish!
So glad you enjoyed NY and I hope you are feeling better.
Gene what an amazing man / actor. Always fond in my childhood memories
