My last movie review was on June 17th! Sure I watched 14 DVD movies with my dad but they were all movies that I saw at the show. The next movie I saw was on September 3rd. OMG that was 11 weeks, that's a long time for me not to see a movie.....
On September 3rd I went to the show with Mark and Adam, we saw Jason Bourne. I thought it was very good. I've seen the other's but don't remember everything about them. As a stand alone movie I thought it was very exciting with lots of action going on.
"The CIA's most dangerous former operative is drawn out of hiding to uncover more explosive truths about his past."
Next up is Bad Moms. The movie was okay. I enjoyed it but it does have a lot of sexual innuendos that I didn't need to hear. I liked the cast a lot and I'm glad I saw it but I probably should have waited for the DVD on Netflix.
"When three overworked and under-appreciated moms are pushed beyond their limits, they ditch their conventional responsibilities for a jolt of long overdue freedom, fun, and comedic self-indulgence."
Then I went to see Florence Foster Jenkins. This movie was entertaining and I enjoyed the actor's performances. It wasn't as good as I had hoped and I should have waited for the DVD on Netflix. I can't believe it was based on a true story but it just goes to show you that money can buy almost anything!
"The story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress who dreamed of becoming an opera singer, despite having a terrible singing voice."
Last Monday I went to see Sully. This movie was excellent. Tom Hanks is always awesome and I love movies directed by Clint Eastwood. You need to see this one!
The story of Chesley Sullenberger, who became a hero after gliding his plane along the water in the Hudson River, saving all of the airplane flights 155 crew and passengers.
My plans were to see two more movies but that didn't happen. I seem to be exhausted all the time. I was going to see Bridget Jone's Baby and Ghostbusters. Hopefully I will get there this week!
We did recently watch Money Monster and Now You See Me 2 on DVD from Netflix. I thought they were both good.

Another person told me how good Sully was too - I want to see that one too.

if you are to tired to go to the movies, I know you are not yourself at all.. I want to see Bourne. my friend got motion sickness from the action, she said the action never stopped and all of it racing accoss the screen made her sick. that is a lot of action and what I love
Always appreciate your reviews Debby. I am looking forward to getting back to the movies once I am a bit more sure on my feet.
I always appreciate your reviews.
What did you think of Money Monster?
I want to see Sully, as well, for the same reasons you mention. :-)
I think ... (yes, you did!) see my note on FB about Sully. I'd totally wondered how Clint Eastwood could make this incident fascinating, but wow ... ya, he did, and I loved it!
Personally, I'm put out that Sully and his first officer weren't offered an apology by the NTSB.
I haven't been to a theater to see a movie in probably 12 or 13 years. I haven't even rented a DVD in a really long time. Years ago Sunday's used to be our movie renting day.
I saw the previews for Bad Moms and thought it looked kind of funny and then of course the Tom Hanks movie looked good too. I've always liked movies he was in
My favorite movies are movies with women and I have been waiting for Florence Foster Jenkins to hit the Redbox. Did you see Hello, My Name is Doris with Sally Field? I watched it the other day and giggled my way through!
I REALLLLLLY want to see Sully. That whole story amazes me & I just adore Tom hanks
I wanted to see Ghostbusters, but it was already out of the cinema and I really want to see Jason Bourne. I have seen numbers 2 and 3 in the cinema and loved them (plus I own all three plus the other one).
I've enjoyed all the Bourne movies and thought this latest one lived up to the rest. Still want to see Sully...maybe this week? I really want to see The Light Between the Oceans but don't know if I can squeeze it in.
Hubby and I saw Sully and we too thought it was just excellent. But then Tom Hanks can't do anything that isn't can he? lol Enjoy your week!
Wow! You sure saw a lot of movies there. I have seen the other Bourne movies and they are jammed packed with action. I will look for these movies on Netflix.
Thanks, Debby
The movie "Sully" sounds really good. I've seen the trailer, and I guess I didn't realize that there was any controversy in the aftermath. Tom Hanks is a really good actor. Seems like he's come a long way since the first time I saw him on the sitcom "Bosom Buddies" - remember that one?!
