Volume 284
Thank you Joyce!
1. What would you say is your strongest sense?
Hard for me to pick just one but since Joyce asked I will say smell.
2. Do you believe in the idea of a 'sixth sense'? Why or why not?
Yes I do and especially when it comes to a woman and her children or a cheating husband. I also believe in a higher power sending us messages. They say that a woman's intuition is very similar to a sixth sense.
3. When do you most feel like a slave to time? Explain.
I imagine it would be either when company is coming over and I want a clean house or packing for a trip. Who doesn't leave things until the last minute???
4. Have you ever worked in a restaurant? How would you rate the experience? If you could own a restaurant what kind would it be?
I have never worked in a restaurant and if I owned one it would be a pizza restaurant with all of our favorite Chicago pizza's on the menu!
5. Ever traced your family tree? Share something interesting you learned there.
I haven't really worked on it but I find it very interesting. I watch "Who Do You Think You Are" and I love what they find out about some of our current Hollywood star's history.
We tried to find some ancestors at Ellis Island but we just didn't have enough information on timelines. We know for sure that they arrived there and were processed through Ellis Island.
6. What did your childhood bedroom look like?
My sister and I had twin beds. There was a desk, dresser and book shelves under the windows. I don't remember any particular colors or decorations.
7. Anyone who knows me knows I love_____?
Going to the movies, Chicago pizza, Giraffe's, Pine Cones and Ladybugs. Oh and let's not forget about Christmas and the 1,000+ Hallmark ornaments that I own!
8. Insert your own random thought here.

I believe in the 6th sense too
Good Morning,
I said smell too. I yelled out the question to my husband, he yelled out SMELL too. Ha!
Pine Cones and Ladybugs...sweet. I also like Pine Cones and brought 4 of them home with me from our recent trip to South Dakota.
very much on 6th sense. higher consciousness. guardian angels' presence. whatever you want to call it. :) my sense of smell is about half what it should be thanks to allergy nasal sprays the doc gave me to try years back - killed off a lot. guess that can be good and bad. :) sight. definitely sight. i'd miss the beauty around here that lifts me every day. :) when i worked nights, i was miserable as i missed seeing this place in sunlight.
I'm reading a book right now on the intuition sense called The Gift of Fear.
I like your random thought. If you did open a restaurant with Chicago pizza, I would indeed eat there!

My childhood bedroom was beautiful. I had the white furniture trimmed in gold and had a canopy over my bed. I wonder how in the world my parents did that for me, because we were poor. 💕
under the who knows you, movies would be my first and Hallmark my second pick for you. I do not want to own a restaurant but if someone gave me one it would be pizza like you. oh no, forgot culvers. so either or.
I worked as a hostess and a waitress for about 4 months and I hated every moment of it.
I don't consider me a slave to time, but my friends do because we eat and sleep and get up at exactly the same time. I believe some have a better 6th sense than others and agree with you women have it more than men
I have worked in a few food outlets and restaurants and I know I would never want to own one. EVER!
As for my ancestry: where do I start? Well, I got back to around 900 aD, so that would be a good starting point.
I knew that you loved movies but I did not know about pizza. My sis and I shared a room with twin beds, also.
Haha! Love all your love lists. I have had women's intuition about many things, too and also a few dreams that came true. I agree with your answer about being slaves to time when getting ready to leave or to have company. So much to do at the last minute.
I knew exactly what you would say to #4 and most of #8! :) I used to watch, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, too. LOVED it. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Debby I am surprised you haven't done a family tree - I bet you would love it.
DO you know there are really 7 real senses - I know a lot about it - it is Sensory Processing Disorder - which Andy has.
Love, sandie
Almost time to pull that Christmas collection out! Can you believe the season is nearly upon us? I am giving myself a lot of grace this year. I've never moved in November before so am just going to roll with it. Have a great rest of the week!
I didn't know you loved giraffes or lady bugs, but I knew all of the other things :)
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Kathy
I've never wanted to own a restaurant but if I did it would be more of a coffee shop I think. A cozy little hangout to get a good cup of coffee and maybe a sinfully good sweet roll
Oh, YUM-bo on the Chicago pizza! I've only had Rosati's once .... so surprised that it (deep-dish) looked like a lasagna or something! (Heretofore, I've always been a fan of thin crust.)
When I was in northern Italy, their pizzas seemed so plain-jane; not at all like what we enjoy here!
I find it fascinating to know that family has come through Ellis Island. How happy they were to be in America!

I believe in the sixth since because I have had it happen to me, there was a drawing at a Christmas party once I new before that my name was going to be draw and it was the same night I met my husband. I have had deja vu before when I was young and older.
I so agree with you about the sixth sense and a mom and or wife :)
