The decorating has started at my house.....
Today Mark, Adam and Amber will be packing up the U-Haul for her move to Great Falls, MT.
I am feeling very emotional, hard to believe she is leaving in the morning. After 35 years she has never lived further than an hour away.
I am excited for her and Dylan. This is a great opportunity for them and I trust in God's plan for them.
I physically can't help them today so I will stay clear and hang ornaments on the trees.
Also I will be making some Black Bean Chili in the crock pot for dinner tonight with some butter/parmesan monkey bread!
I'm also going to bake some yummy Quaker Oats Famous Oatmeal cookies for dessert. I will also be sending some along in their goody basket for the road!

Best wishes for Amber and Dylan! I know you are a riot of emotions right now, but this will be a great thing for them and you! ❤️Ann
That monkey bread sounds great! Cook and decorate and do what makes you happy today. I know you're sad. Sending hugs.
It is a great opportunity for Dylan and Amber! Hoping the drive over there goes smoothly! It will be bittersweet and there will be tears, of course, but its neat that Dylan and Amber are realizing they need to be somewhere else other than California if they ever want to "get ahead."
Have fun decorating!
betty
The best of luck to Amber and Dylan.
If I had the same amount of decorating to do as you, I would have to start in June I think. Good luck with it all.
I wish them much joy and happiness in their new home... I wish I could decorate like this lady, I would have a real tree, now I just sit out a 2 foot already lighted.. I need a cook like you and a decorator like her and I would be set to go. I must say your trees are much prettier than hers though..
I wish I could tell you that it won't hurt when they pull away - but from experience it will - BUT you will survive.
I wish it was easy as that to decorate - that was cute.
The monkey bread sounds good.
LOL-ing on the video clip. The first part would be me, for sure. Even as a kid, I REALLY disliked decorating. I'd grab bunches of tinsel and lob them in the general direction of the tree. Wouldn't I be YOUR worst nightmare underfoot? :)
Bittersweet day, for sure. Sending prayers for Amber and Dylan's safe travels and happy new beginnings.
I wish decorating was that easy too. lol I hope Amber will love her new home. My daughter lives in Florida and I live in Ohio, so I get what you're feeling. Praying God's blessings and comfort for you all.
Best of luck to Amber and Dylan. I know how you'll feel when they leave because my daughter moved to Colorado for a few years and it was very sad the day she left.
I would love to be able to decorate like that lady. I haven't starte yet.
All the best to Dylan and Amber. Having a child live away is most difficult. Our daughter lives in Oklahoma City 8 hours away. Ugh! I have a gal that comes every year and decorates my tree, but I have to take it down. I don't decorate near like I use to, just too much work. Happy week!
Sounds like you have a good plan for today!
Sending hugs to you, it sounds like it will be a very emotional day. XO
I guess you'll have visits to Montana in your future?
I love black bean chili!
Praying for a smooth transition for all of you, Debby!
Oatmeal cookies are one of my top two favorite cookies.
Good luck on Amber and Dylans' move.
Can I so have someone decorate my tree like that!!
