History was made on November 8, 2016 when Donald J. Trump won the election to become our next President. I hope your understand that I am not here to gloat. I just want to have a post for the future generations in my family to read.
Yes I voted for Donald J. Trump but what I realized as the election got closer was that I had to put my heart's desire into God's hands. I got down on my knees about a week before the election and I prayed daily for God to make this decision for us.
"It is God who alters the times and seasons, and he removes kings and promotes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." Daniel 2:21 ISV
This is not the outcome I saw coming nor did the news media. However it is the outcome I had prayed for.
I have never in my life been more involved with the election of a President of the United States. One thing I do know is that the America I grew up in had changed and I miss it.......

I was telling hubby last night if the election had gone the other way, our grandchild would grow up in a whole different America. I have hope again. Something I hadn't felt for this country in a while. Lots of prayers were prayed, now we just need to keep praying.

We conservative Christian stepped up this year and we need to step it up more in prayer and support.
If only everyone could now band together and support our new president to turn our country around.

I totally agree. I voted for him, too. I pray that he CAN make America great again. I was totally expecting it to go the other way and I would have accepted it - just like I Hope the people for Hilary try to accept it. The majority if people have spoken - now let's make America greater!
I too voted for him. I pray that he can do the things he says he is going to do. This country really needs to change.
Such an amazing day in history! I can't wait to see what happens. I am with you never have been very political or involved as much as I was this year.
