Volume 305
~Thank you Joyce~
1. April showers bring May flowers or so the saying goes. Has your April been filled with showers? Do you carry an umbrella, wear a slicker, or make a run for it? Besides rain, what else has filled your April?
Our winter was filled with rain, enough rain to call the drought over in California! I will definitely carry an umbrella in the rain along with wearing a slicker. I have had to make a run for it when I forget my umbrella in the car because it wasn't raining when I ran into a store.
2. What's something you could you give a 30-minute presentation on at a moment's notice and with zero preparation?
First thing that came to mind was recycling. I also believe I could speak to young woman about life and loving themselves for who they are.
3. Share with us a favorite food memory from childhood.
4. What's a song you thought you knew the lyrics to, but later discovered you were wrong?
Heck that's easy.....probably almost every song I sing!
Niagara Falls (NY), Hollywood Walk of Fame (California), Times Square (NYC), Epcot (FL), Seattle Space Needle (WA), and Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market (Boston). How many of these have you seen in person? Did you feel like a tourist? Did you care? Tell us about a place (not on the list) you've visited that might be considered a tourist trap, but you love it anyway.
I've seen the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Times Square, and Epcot. I love Epcot, no problems with it. Hollywood Walk of Fame is fun to see but the location is crappy. Same with Times Square, I was thrilled to see it but not impressed at all. Seeing it for years on New Years Eve is a totally different thing then being there in person.
6. Your signature clothing item?
Not sure I can answer this one. I've never felt like I had a signature clothing item, maybe a signature purse.
7. What's an experience you've had you think everyone should experience at least once? Why?
London, Paris and Rome....why not! Of course seeing Mt. Rushmore is pretty amazing too.
8. Insert your own random thought here.

Well, I've done the three cities you mentioned: London, Paris and Rome, so I guess that's good.
My signature clothing would be my uniform. I feel like I haven't been without a uniform since 1992! I need another job. Without uniform!
my signature clothing is the top or dress has to be lose, it can not touch me any where. favorite memory is shooting daddy's 22 rifle that belonged to his grandfather. I loved shooting.. our april has zero showers and your drought moved here. I have never heard of dried cottage cheese and wonder if you buy it that way or dry it out and how come it doesn't sour?
I had to come back, when I was here I totally missed the word food memory from child hood and only saw memory. on Cranberry blog I saw the word food. oh well... senior moments.
I secretly (or not so secretly-ha!) love Times Square and all it's lights and crazy. A great people watching place!! Those dumplings sound good. I've never had dried cottage cheese.
loved your answers

Okay I didn't know you were a great recycler! You could also talk about movies and cooking! Hey were those cookies Polish - they look a lot like my MIL's! Love, sandie
Fruit dumplings that sounds amazing!!!!
Hahahahha ... your random thought is the BEST!
Sure agree with you about Times Square. Before meeting Tom, a "Mr. Wrong" (former NYPD) took me to visit the city. Coming out of the subway he asked me to take a good look around; did I know where I was standing? (Um, noooo.) To me, it seemed so much smaller than on television. Dirtier, too.
Well, shoot. I skipped right over Epcot. I've been there. It was ok. I'm not a Disney fan. Your random thought is hilarious. I've seen that one before and that's why I leave mine messy, too. LOL How's your daddy?
The fruit dumplings sound so good to me. Thank you for sharing your memories.
The fruit dumplings sound YUMMY!!
I like how you answered #4!
Love the quote. :-)
Love your random thought, how funny!
Finally! Someone that agrees with me about Times Square and Hollywood. I think I offended a few people... oops!
That dried fruit dessert looks really good. I've never heard of it.

Fruit dumplings sound interesting!
I hope you are having a good day. Thinking of you and praying for you and your Dad.Hugs!
sounds like wonderful idea to teach others. I would love to learn more about recycling myself and the loving yourself would be perfect to teach so many
We've had LOTS of showers, but much of that in May. Even flooding here in our neighborhood. Should make for a lushly green summer.
