Volume 306
Thank you Joyce....
1. Can you tell I'm embracing a Cinco de Mayo theme here this week? Do you like Mexican food? What's your favorite dish? How about on the side-black beans, pinto beans, refried beans, rice? What about heat-mild, medium, hot? Will you celebrate with Mexican food and drink on May 5th aka Cinco de Mayo?
I do like Mexican food. I like cheese enchiladas. Black beans for me and I like to mix them with the rice. I am going with mild heat. I imagine that we will celebrate because we will be at my sister's in laws house, not sure about the Mexican food but we will be drinking.
2. Ever been to Mexico? For work or holiday? Love it or no? If you haven't been is this a place you'd like to visit? Can you speak Spanish?
I was in Mexico as a child. I really don't remember it but I've seen pictures. No I cannot speak Spanish. Updated: I am going to Cancun in November for Adam and Gabby's wedding!
3. What's one thing you may accomplish this month?
Lot's of doctor's appointments and therapy 2 or 3 days a week on my knee! Have to have six weeks before the doctor will operate. Some people respond to therapy. I don't see how when I am walking bone on bone. However the rehab will help for the recovery after a knee replacement.
4. If you were mayor of your village, city, or town, what's one thing you'd like to see changed, done away with, revamped, or accomplished? Is serving in public office something you've ever seriously considered?
Our city is pretty big and I don't pay much attention to it. What we would like in our community is to have no overnight parking on the street.
5. What's something that may be popular, but that you just don't get?
I still don't get Twitter. I have an account but hardly ever check on it. It just doesn't work for me.
6. Can't let this week slip by without mentioning Thursday May 4th is Star Wars Day. As in 'May the 4th be with you' ahem. Are you a fan of the Star Wars series? Exactly how much of a fan are you? On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being 'I've seen every film, own the action figures, might have dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween one year', and 1 being, 'what's a Vader?' -where do you land?
We are fans of the Star War movies although we haven't seen the newest one yet. I would say we are a 5 and I do own Star War ornaments.
7. Scroll back through your blog posts and in three sentences or less tell us the general theme of your fourth blog post. Does it still ring true today? Is it a topic you re-visit on your blog from time to time?
My fourth blog post was "Where is my TP? Well it was about Skye making a mess with toilet paper when she was a puppy. She doesn't do that anymore. Yes I do post about Skye from time to time, just look at my random.....
8. Insert your own random thought here.
We had a wonderful time visiting Amber, Dylan and Charlie in Great Falls, Montana. We got home last night. There duplex is perfect and decorated so cute. They are very happy which makes me happy. It was fun to hear them giggling all the time. I will have to write a post with some photos.
Skye had a fun time playing with Charlie. She wasn't very happy being in the car. It was here first road trip. The first day she would not calm down and was panting for 7 hours. I finally had to give her some children Benadryl to calm her down. The next day she did fine and all the way home she would settle in right away and slept most of the way.

Nice to hear Amber and Dylan are doing good. I bet Skye's next car adventure will be easier for her. You are going to be here in the hot this weekend.

So glad you guys were able to make the trip and take Skye with you!! Doesn't that PT requirement for the knee make you crazy?? Generic rules without looking at the individual!! Best wishes!!!
glad you had a fun trip and that Skye adjusted to riding so well.. I took a quick look at my 4th post and it was a beach view and todays post is the same beach.. so I guess yes is the answer do I still do the same things.
no comments on the other things because all the answers are I don't do any of what is asked.
I am glad the kids are happy. Skye looks happy to be home too. About the knee exercises - think of it this way - it won't help the knee now - I don't think - but it will help the rehab afterwards - it won't have to be so long or painful. I think it is a good idea. sandie
I'm glad you had a nice trip to visit Amber...and that's great news about Adam's upcoming wedding! See, everything is working out :)
PS I hope all goes well with your knee.

Glad the trip went okay.
I don't think I ever saw any of the Star Wars films. I saw the spoof though and loved that (with Bill Pullman and John Candy if I remember correctly).
Glad you and Skye had a good trip! I know you are looking forward to Cancun and the wedding later this year. We love Mexican food and have a great restaurant nearby. All the best with your knee.
I'm so glad to hear everyone is doing well and enjoying life in Montana. It looks beautiful and is a place I've always wanted to see. Maybe one of these days! Glad Skye enjoyed the trip too : )
I'm so glad you had a nice time at Amber's. And thankful that Skye wasn't stressed with the ride home. It's so nerve wracking when your dog is stressed. At least it always was for me. I don't get Twitter either. I have an account but no one's heard a tweet out of me. And I don't read tweets. Never have. I also don't get Pinterest. I always thought of it as my own personal bulletin board and then found out it was much more social. Enjoy your margaritas on Friday. :-)
I was in Mexico when I was about 7. Would love to go again.
Glad you had a good trip
Neat to hear Amber and Dylan are doing so well! Where will Charlie go (and Skye, too) come November?
It's a puzzle for sure, trying to get through therapy without wanting to choke someone. Physical Terrorists, indeed. (Reminds me too much of high school P.E.)
Nevertheless, I think Chatty/Sandie's onto something.
My answer was Twitter too. I rarely check my account either. I much prefer Instagram. Skye is so adorable. Glad you had a good time visiting.
I didn't realize you are facing knee replacement surgery. Yes, I've always heard the better prepared you are before surgery, the quicker the recovery. I experienced that with my cervical surgery a year ago. So glad your trip was enjoyable and I look forward to seeing future posts.
yeah to the wedding! How fun, can't wait to see the pictures!!
I love Mexican food. Cheese enchiladas are my favorite too, followed by huevos rancheros.
Hi,
I like Mexican food too.
I am so happy for your daughter! I am looking forward to hearing how you enjoyed Montana.
Carla
We made chicken fajitas, black beans, nachos and sangria fro Cinco de Mayo. My Spanish is pretty iffy, but what little I do know helps in Spanish-speaking countries I've been to.
Hi, Debby!
Been thinking of you a lot, lately.
I have made my blog into a basic book review blog.
Between reading and scheduling posts I don't have much time for commenting on other blogs.
Your Skye is so cute!!
Poor Skye.... my Bubba is the same way. I go to my mom's once a moth with him and he freaks out for the first 30 minutes. I'm glad the Benadryl worked.
Twitter works for finding out what's going on in the news, but that's about it.
Anyway, thank you for your sweet comment :)
