Gold and Silver
I was trying to come up with a title for this post so I Googled Montana State Motto, there were several things to choose from. I went with "Naturally Inviting" because we were visiting Amber and Dylan who were great hosts!
While driving we had cloudy days,
the weather did clear after that.
Our visit was short and sweet. Mark did all the driving although I did offer to drive. It was a long 18 hours in the car both ways. We drove each way with one stop overnight to sleep. Skye of course was not pleased with the drive but she eventually settled in pretty well and she was great in the hotel rooms.
7 hours of panting the first day!
Along the way......
Behind their place.
I've never seen so many pine cones on one tree.
Their side of the duplex and a fenced
yard for Charlie.
Skye had her first encounter with squirrels!!!
Squirrel at feeder.....
Charlie could care less about the squirrels yet
he watches TV all the time!!!
A natural spring....
I didn't even know Sinclair was still in business!
Outside of the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls.
This buffalo is at the entrance of the
Some sightseeing, also stopped at a great place
for lunch while we were out and about.
A herd of antelopes at a rest area.....
Utah mountains....
A Lilac bush in Utah. Oh how I miss them....
We celebrated Amber's 36th birthday
while we were there.
After dinner we went to the famous Sip 'n Dip Lounge in
Great Falls. This is a source photo. No mermaids were
swimming while we were there.
She did eventually quiet down after some Benadryl.
Next time I'm getting something from the vet.

Hi Debby, Montana is on our list of places to go. Beautiful scenery. Love seeing your trip. Those weren't Elk you saw, but Pronghorn or Antelope. Once we leave Colorado, we see them constantly in Wyoming and even up into South Dakota. Looks like you had a wonderful time.
Hugs,
Noreen
What a great trip! I have a friend who lived near Flat Lake and it always looked so beautiful. So glad Amber and Dylan are settling in so well and are happy. That's worth everything!
Yes, get Skye a sedative for next time. It will really help. Our dogs were/are great travelers, but going through different elevations for long stretches is hard on them I think.

Looked like you had a great time!! Love the photos, especially the one with you all in it!

What a beautiful place, great scenery. Riding is tough for a dog sometimes. Gibbs doesn't always like even short rides.
Thanks for sharing the scenery with us....Hope you felt well during your visit...I don't like long trips in the car so we usually spent the night going and coming as you did...
Last week I went with Daughter and Wonder Boy to see Pirates of the C.
Mama Bear
Oh that one photo with the blue sky and the clouds! So beautiful!! Isn't it amazing what you can see in a relatively short amount of time and how the scenery changes. Love the mountains, but that photo... (underneath the painted buffalo?)
Wonderful pictures, Debby! ... and Amber looks so happy!
That must have been a panic watching Skye and the squirrels. I, too, was surprised Sinclair is still in business.
Oh my goodness what beautiful sites there are - I have never been to that part of our country - I have always wanted too. And that poor puppy - Skye - looked exhausted. It was good to see all of you! sandie
I've never been to Montana but now I'd like to go.
My lilacs bloomed aboit a month ago - they are one of my favorites.
Beautiful pictures!! I'm glad Skye got to go too. He would have a blast chasing squirrels in my yard. They are so cute, yet so annoying!
Such a sweet photo of Skye napping in the last photo. Thank you for sharing the awesome views along the drive. Looks like a lovely visit. God bless your day.
Sure looks like you had a wonderful trip, Debby! Enjoyed seeing all of your photos...poor Skye!
