April 1st was my last At The Movies post. I have seen 4 movies since then which I am going to post about today. This year just hasn't gone as planned.
On April 24th I went to see Gifted. This was a sweet movie. The little girl was really cute and I am a fan of Chris Evans.
"Frank, a single man raising his child prodigy niece Mary, is drawn into a custody battle with his mother."
On May 18th I went to so Snatched. This of course was one of those silly movie and a little dirty too but it did entertain me. Sometimes you just need silly......
"When her boyfriend dumps her before their exotic vacation, a young woman persuades her ultra-cautious mother to travel with her to paradise, with unexpected results."
On August 1st I went to see Spider-Man Homecoming. I must admit I have been a fan of all the Spider-man movies. This one did not disappointment and the new kid was really good. Can't wait for more of them to come out.
"Peter Parker, with the help of his mentor Tony Stark, tries to balance his life as an ordinary high school student in New York City while fighting crime as his superhero alter ego Spider-Man when a new threat emerges."
On August 3rd I went to see The Big Sick. This movie was very good. I always enjoy a movie that brings people together who don't know each other. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I loved the cast.
"Pakistan-born comedian Kumail Nanjiani and grad student Emily Gordon fall in love but struggle as their cultures clash. When Emily contracts a mysterious illness, Kumail finds himself forced to face her feisty parents, his family's expectations, and his true feelings."

That last one sounds hilarious...but I bet it's a tearjerker.
Gifted? I haven't heard of that one! I'll have to look it up.
Thanks fir the reviews, Debby.
I did hear the Spider Man movie was good. I like Robert Downey, Jr and his Iron Man role, so this would be an added benefit to go and see the movie. Great reviews!
Betty

They all sound good. I haven't seen a Goldie Hawn m9vie in a long time. The picture looks like she hasn't aged a bit
I'm so out of the loop re. what's popular these days! Gifted sounds like something DH and I'd both enjoy.
I haven't seen any of those movies!
Thanks for the review.
Hopefully you can watch a lot more over the course of the rest of this year.
Thinking of you.
I'm not sure why, but I kinda want to see Spider-Man. Thanks for the reviews.
Glad you are still enjoying some movie time. I hope life returns to normal soon.
Ooh, Goldie Hawn film. I wonder whether it will play here. By the way, have you heard about a film called Girlfriends? I think I saw a trailer at some point, but I can't remember if that was the name. Mind you, I don't remember much from the trailer either...
Hope your recovery is going great.
We loved The Big Sick too Debby. Great story! Really liked Ray and Holly for some reason. They seemed believable.
I would like to see that Gifted movie!
