1. Do your actions match your words? Elaborate.
An example isn't coming to mind but I am pretty sure that my actions usually match my words most of the time. Of course if I say "I'm going to kill you" that is just words!!
2. Sick as a dog, go to the dogs, dog days of summer, dog tired, it's a dog's life, every dog has it's day, can't teach an old dog new tricks...now doggone it which saying could most recently be applied to your life?

I guess that I am dog tired but mainly because of my pain pills for my knee replacement which make me drowsy. (I will write a post about my surgery when I can)
On the other hand I believe you can teach an old dog new tricks because that's what this old dog is doing right now with my new knee!!
3. Your favorite book featuring a dog in the storyline? What makes it a favorite?
3. Your favorite book featuring a dog in the storyline? What makes it a favorite?
I read romance novels so it wouldn't be a book. I looked at some popular books with dogs in them and I will say Marley & Me but it would be the movie. As a rule most dog movies are going to be sad so I'm not sure about them being a favorite.
I have A Dog's Purpose coming on DVD. I will have to let you know which is my favorite.

4. What's something you hope to one day have the confidence to do?
I've always wanted to be a motivational speaker or maybe work with Red Cross to console people after a crisis. However I don't see that happening so I am going to go simple here. I hope to have the confidence to bend my new knee when I do my bowling approach this fall.

I've never been much of a joke teller so I had this on my Chromebook so I'm going with this one.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm not coming up with very good answers today and I will blame that on the Norco drugs I am on since my knee replacement :) I have read this post over and over, I can't believe the mistakes I keep finding. I hope that's not normal for me, if so I apologize if you have had to read poor grammar from me each week.

my favorite book of all time and the most read is Watchers by Dean Koonz and the whole book is about the man and his dog. I cried through Cujo and I cried through Lassie Come home...
I hope to regain the confidence to drive 400 miles by myself.
You are right that most dog stories are sad. They are so precious and it's so sad when they pass away. I'm happy for you and the knee replacement... you'll get your bowling groove back in no time!!
Your posts are just fine, so don't worry about them. Each day will get better as you recover from your surgery. Can't read dog books or see dog movies. Marley and Me did me in and our dog was alive at the time.

Sending Get Well Hugs!
You will be bowling soon!!
Love, Carla
Isn't modern medicine wonderful! Aside from the expected pain to go with recovery, it is terrific that you got a new knee. I hope your therapy goes well, that your new knee proves to be a great decision and that you'll be able to do all the things you did before you knees started giving you grief. xo
Oh, Debby! I had no idea you'd already had your knee replacement. I'm glad the surgery is behind you, and I hope recovery is going well. You'll be bowling again before you know it :)
I've been guilty of saying "I'm going to kill you!", too, but Of course I never did... Ha Ha
Relax, your grammar is fine :)

I didn't know you had the surgery. I'm so glad for you that that part us over. I will be praying for your healing and rehabilitation.
You just had surgery and here you are - amazing. For me it is the dog days of summer - it is HOT here. 101 Dalmatians? Love your joke. You are doing great Debby - I am so proud of you.
Hope your recovery is going well. Definitely do the exercises and therapy as I know that made an enormous difference in my mom's healing. Sounds like you're doing great! You'll be dancing at that wedding for sure : )
You did better with your answers than I would have. I was drawing a blank on most of those
Hope you feel better soon. My daughter was on Norco last year after ACL knee surgery and she threw up for 2 days straight. I took her off the Norco and she never threw up again. Hope you are doing better than she did and hope you are up and around soon!
Hugs,
Trisha
On the contrary my dear girl, I really enjoyed your hodgepodge answers! I do hope you are all healed up well and good soon. Don't tell anyone but I can really relate to your joke.
Glad your surgery is behind you now! Now you can focus on healing.
I read A Dog's Purpose, but haven't seen the movie
So happy That Surgery is behind you, Debby!
I'm curious to hear how you liked A Dog's Purpose. Personally, I think the book was far superior ... but that often happens, doesn't it?
I loved A Dog's Purpose. Thought it was so good. I, glad your surgery is over and hope you can be off the meds soon.
Books about dogs? I don't think I could think of a single one. I have one about dragons, but I doubt that's the same, even in a slightly dizzy form...
I just thought about the saddest dog film I ever saw: Hachi! It had me crying and crying and crying. Lovely film though.
I think of Old Yeller and Where the red fern grows. Both crazy sad!!!
Prayers for speedy recovery!
Hi Debby,
I will pray that your knee gets better soon.
Thank you for stopping by. I am sorry the medicine is making you groggy.
Keep your head up and know that people are praying for you.
Pain medication is a wonderful thing. I once had gout which is extremely painful. The pills the doctor prescribed didn't take the pain away. It just made me not care. I referred to them as my "Loopy Pills" because that's what they made me. I hope your recovery from the knee surgery goes very well. All the best.
I can't even think of a book I've read about a dog. Although I do like dogs.
Hope the loopiness clears up as you heal!
