Volume 322
Thank you Joyce :)
1. What's something you'd rate a 10/10? Tell us why.
I'm drawing a blank here unless you want me to go with a frozen fruit bar from Sprout's. It is their brand in the flavor of Lime. I just love it, it is so refreshing!
2. What job would you be terrible at? What makes you think so?
As much as I like animals I don't think I could work in a zoo and that would mainly be about the poop!
3. When did you last take a fall? What's something you're falling for (in a good way) these days?
It was in May 2016 when I tripped and fell at the show. Even though my knee started hurting after the fall the fall had nothing to do with the loss of my cartilage.
I am falling in love with our weather. This was the hottest summer we have had in a long time and the cooler temperatures are very welcomed here.
National Apple Harvest Festival (near Arendtsville PA, close to Gettysburg), Harvest on the Harbor (Portland Maine), German Village Festival (Columbus Ohio), Wellfleet Oyster Fest (Cape Cod), and Wine and Chile Fiesta (Santa Fe NM)
Have you ever been to any of the festivals listed? Which one appeals to you most? Does your hometown have any sort of fall celebration, and if so will you make it a point to attend?
No I have not attended any of those festivals. I think that the Wine and Chile Fiesta sounds like fun. I am sure our town has something going on but we don't usually go. We did go to a Lavender Festival a few years ago and I loved it.
5. What is your goodbye message to summer?
I hate to see you go but you were brutal this year, however I will miss the special times that happened in our life this summer so I will always love you for those times.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
When we went to see Adam and Gabby's home on Sunday I brought these items to present to them before we entered the house. This is from "It's A Wonderful Life!"

I know for sure the job I would be terrible at would be nursing. I don't know how they do it.
Love the items you took to Adam and Gabby's
Love the things you took to Adam and Gabby's house. Thoughtful and cute! I'm enjoying the cooler weather too... it has been a HOT summer, for sure!
My message to summer, is get thee behind me and do it now please. I am sick to death of 90 degree weather since April, 6 months of it, and we usually have 3 months, still have 2 more. I would never take a job as a cashier, I can't make change worth a darn. also I could never ever never work with children... I love lime or lemon anything. the fruit bar sounds good. I would rate Culvers a 10 on my birthday burger/fries and they get a 10 for service everytime
A job I would be no good at? Goodness. I think school bus driver would be close, but I think the worst would be a job where I would have to be very precise every single day.
A goodbye message to summer? Well, we didn't have a summer, just autumn with a few nice days thrown in. The only summer I saw was when I visited my parents last month. So, I guess: 'tot ziens' (goodbye in Dutch).
What a lovely gift to take! I might have to do that for some special folks. I'm always glad to see summer go even though both grandkiddos have summer birthdays. I just can't stand the heat.
I LOVEEEEE some fruit bars. I'm all about some mango ones right now.
I think it would be so fun to work in a zoo. I'd rather deal with that poop than the junk in offices ;) haha
Those fruit bars sound refreshing! I hate to see summer go even though I love fall so much. I know what comes after fall and I am not looking forward to that!
Great Hodgepodge thoughts, the gifts are wonderful love the quotes! I am so looking forward to cooler weather, our summer has been especially hot and humid, and it is still going, high 90's today. Have a blessed day,
Sue
I've not seen "A Wonderful Life", but those housewarming gifts are touching, indeed!
... Chuckling about the zoo animals' b.m.'s! 'Never stopped to consider that.
PS - I'll meet you at the Wine & Chili Fest!
You have had a brutal summer - very high temps. I must admit I have fallen a dew times - stupid errors of going to fast. Festivals are fun but I haven't been to one recently....
I'm going to remember that idea for a housewarming gift. The wedding is getting closer, and I'm sure you're excited. Hope the knee is feeling better each day. A lavender festival sounds like my cup of tea!
lol about the poop! You really did have a lot of good things this year. I really like the gifts for the couple.
Haha! It's all about the poop! You crack me up. I think I might agree.
I have never been to any of those festivals either. I think it would be so fun to wander around things like that.
I love the gift idea for a new home. It's thoughtful of you, but I love the meaning. Have a wonderful week.
What great housewarming gifts for Gabbie and Adam! Something to remember if ever in the same position myself. I didn't realize it was a hot summer for you guys! Its hard if you aren't used to it; can be grueling. I loved going to festivals when the kids were younger; always looking for something interesting for them to see. Haven't been to one in a bit.
betty
I think the zoo job would not work for me either. I’m not much of a festival goer either.
Always love reading these Debby. Glad to know that your knee is recovering well.
Been a year and a month since I fell and fractured my pelvis. Not a great memory. Yet, as I was climbing ladders this week I was reminded to be thankful that it healed well.
I loved that bit from It's a Wonderful Life!
The list of jobs I'd be terrible at is long, but I think I might enjoy working in a zoo. Then again, I raised pigs as a kid and we also had cows, so I'm used to the poop!
1. What's something you'd rate a 10/10? Tell us why.
I think I would have to go with butterscotch bread pudding from the local restaurant down the street....yep, that is it.
2. What job would you be terrible at? What makes you think so?
Working with sick children. As much as I would love to help, I get attached way too easy and if something happened I would not be able to let go.
3. When did you last take a fall? What's something you're falling for (in a good way) these days?
Was not sure what I was falling for....someone or actually falling! haha....I can't remember the last time I fell....and hit the ground but I do stumble a lot due to my Fibro and some meds.
Like you...I fall for the fall season, the weather change to cooler, the smells, the colors....
4. According to the Travel Channel here are some of America's best fall festivals-
I have attended several local fall fest. around me. I love them all cause they are all about the FALL
5. What is your goodbye message to summer?
good bye, get going and be gone with you....haha
6. Insert your own random thought here.
this is a kind of chilling day...just taking it easy with the dog and the cat. Fall here is still HOT. 89 today.....so over it.
The job I wouldn't want would be a school bus driver! Someone's always acting all crazy on the bus and it's super loud and then there is the vomit factor. Nope, couldn't do it!
