1. What takes you out of your comfort zone?
Speaking in public yet it is something I would love to do.
2. Your least favorite spice?
After being up for 24 hours and then flying home from Cancun yesterday I must admit that my brain is not coming up with anything.
3. What's a small change you'd like to make?
Stop buying ornaments! Obviously that isn't a small thing to me but extremely important at this point and time in our lives.
4. Do you enjoy visiting historic homes? If so, of the homes you've visited which one was your favorite? What historic home near you is open to visitors? Have you been? Southern Living rounded up eleven of the best in the southern part of the US and they're as follows-
Monticello (Jefferson's home in Virginia), Nathaniel Russel House (Charleston SC), Swan House (Atlanta), Ernest Hemingway's home (Key West), The Biltmore (Vanderbilt home in Asheville NC), Mount Vernon (Washington's home in Virgina), San Francisco Plantation (Garyville, Louisiana), Windsor Ruins (Port Gibson Mississippi), Longue Vue House and Gardens (New Orleans), Whitehall (Palm Beach FL), and Pebble Hill Plantation (Thomasville GA)
Have you been to any on the list? Of the homes listed which would you most like to visit?
I wouldn't mind visiting historic homes. I haven't been to any of those listed but I do think it would be a fun time. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing the Biltmore. I enjoyed the Ringling home in Sarasota.
5. What's something you think will be obsolete in ten years? Does that make you sad or glad?
I'm thinking DVD's and possibly landline phones. Yes they would both make me very sad. I cannot stand talking on a cell phone!
6. Insert your own random thought here.

driving in traffic or on the interstate,.... oregano makes me sick when I taste it. Help I am laughing and I can't stop, that happened when I read you might stop buying ornaments. bra ha ha ha
LOVE the disco floor!
Hey girl you have to downsize in a few years so be careful about the ornaments - lol - just kidding.
I can't think of a spice I don't like although there are plenty I've never tried. I suppose any that are real hot would be on my dislike list.
I agree with your guesses for what will be obsolete. Just think of the things we've used over the years that are obsolete now. Ask a younger person what an 8 track is and they look at you funny
24 hours awake and she's still posting?! YAY, you! :)))
I'd have been stumped about the 'least favorite' spice question, for sure. Probably salt. Only because I'm practically addicted to salty foods, but I swell up like a balloon the next morning.
I bet when you finally slept it was a very restful sleep! I admire those that can speak in public. I'm not one of those either!
betty
I guess my spice would be 'curry'... I had a dish once that was seasoned with it and I couldn't eat it. Maybe I should try again. The Biltmore Estate is in my state and I've been several times... I love it and try to imagine how it would be to really live there! Amazing! Good luck on that ornament thing! lol
You have seen some amazing places.
The wedding must have been amazing in a place like Cancun!
I hope you get some rest before the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving.
Your ornaments have been a source of wonder for me as the years have passed and I have been able to see the pictures of your lovely tree.
Have a wonderful week and get some rest!
Always like visiting here Debby. We got rid of our landline a few years ago and have not missed it.
Hi Debby,
I do not like talking on cell phones. I usually have to put it on speaker phone because of the way it feels to hold to my ear.
The wedding looks lovely and your son and his bride look so happy! I only buy an ornament when we travel now, but I do still buy for my girls. They're hard to resist, so many cute new ones every year. I feel that way about coffee mugs too, but I do not need another coffee mug. Still I love them and likely will buy another : )
What a great wedding shot! I hope you've caught up on your sleep by now.
Have you been to Hearst Castle? That would qualify for the local historic home, for sure. It's amazing-If you haven't seen it, you should!
