1. What keeps you blogging?
For me it is about having a journal of things that go on in my life in hopes that someday my grandchildren will get to know more about me. Of course I love the friendships I have made. You guys make me happy.
2. Some people like to travel in the winter months. Do you enjoy the beach in winter? According to Southern Living the best U.S. beach towns to visit this winter are-
St Simons Island (Georgia), Hilton Head (South Carolina), Bald Head Island (North Carolina), Seaside (Florida), Bay St. Louis (Mississippi), Cape San Blas (Florida), South Padre Island (Texas), Folly Beach (South Carolina), Chincoteague (Virginia), Duck Key (Florida), Nags Head (North Carolina), and Fairhope (Alabama)
Have you been to any of the towns listed (in any season)? Which on the list appeals to you most this winter?
I have visited South Padre Island years ago. Gosh, I would take anyone of them, I love the beach and listening to the ocean. Actually Mark and I drove down to Carlsbad last week, sat by the ocean and had lunch at our favorite restaurant!
3. What's a song you're embarrassed to know all the lyrics to? Are you really embarrassed or do just think you should be?
I would say that would be most of Barry Manilow's songs and I'm not embarrassed to say so.
4. When you were a kid what's something you thought would be fantastic as an adult, but now that you're an adult you realize it's not all that fantastic?
I'm not coming up with anything specific. I always wanted to be a wife and mother. It has not all been easy but I wouldn't change that for anything.

I finally got Christmas packed away. The house looks so empty. It was a lot of work and I of course over did it and got myself sick. Had to put myself on steroids, antibiotics and breathing treatments.
Feeling a little better but not out of the woods yet and we leave for Houston in the morning! Healing prayers would be appreciated.

Oh goodness! I do hope you feel better and enjoy your trip. I know all the words to "I've got friends in low places" by Garth Brooks. It's kind of embarrassing. When my kids were growing up, it was the original Garth Brooks era and we loved that song. Now I don't even listen to country music!
hope you are feeling better today and on your way to Houston, but they at iced in so maybe not. i blog for friendships and for a place to create. i love software and edits and need an outlet. the big plus if friends all over the world. i wanted to change my name when i became and adult, but never did except for the last one.

My blog friends keep me at it, too. :) I think sitting on a faraway sandy, a sunny beach would be nice about now but I'm too scared to travel by air and the flu season is so horrible I'd be afraid of catching it. Your quote is nice. A mother knows the determination of keep going even when she doesn't want to. I've been there, done that many times, and I wonder..."How did I make it?" The answer clearly is God gave me the strength because now I'm a huge whimp with the kids out of the house. lol Saying prayers you feel better for your travels. Happy WW!

It's difficult to stop overdoing things, isn't it? I'm the same way and I know better, too. Hope you're feeling better! 'Ol Barry was all over the radio back then so I'm pretty sure a lot of us know the words to some of his songs. :) Have a good, safe trip!
I never was a huge Barry Manilow fan, but I also always find myself singing along!
I've spent many a summer vacation on St. Simon's Island and a few of Hilton Head. I love southern beaches.
I know what you mean about the house looking empty. Ours does, too. I also over-did it, and now my back has been bothering me again! Kind of makes you wonder about us, doesn't it? I think we are two of a kind :)

Greetings from the Granite State. I am married to a woman who has the habit of overdoing things to the point of damaging her already frail health. This happened recently when we de-Christmased our house. I agree at the look of emptiness. However, my beloved SWMBO fills up the empty spaces with other stuff.

It's that expression isn't it: a guilty pleasure! For me some types of music are just a pleasure, nothing guilty about it. And if others don't like it: tough! Their problem, not mine.
