1. Ever been to a Drive In Theater? Would you like to see Drive In Theaters make a come back?
Yes I have been to the Drive In Theaters. It was a fun time. I think it would be a fun experience for kids today but this is a different world and they may not embrace it at all.

Those of you who have been following me for years knows that I grew up going to the Movie Theaters. My dad was a manager back in the day and I spent a lot of time seeing movies there.

2. Should towns provide community entertainment like bands in the park, fireworks on the 4th, community picnics or is the cost just too much?
I certainly loved all those things in the town I grew up in. I believe there are a lot of people I blog with who still have towns that do that. We don't see too much of that in Southern California.

3. What would you change about your town if you had the power?
I don't have much to say about that. The area we live in has several places that I go to but because I still bowl back in the area that I lived in 13 years ago I still seem to visit those places even though they are 25 miles from where I live now.

4. My  little high school offered 3 courses of education:  Business, University track and General education where you could also major in shop , carpentry, home economics and metal working, etc. Would you like to see schools bring back business courses, shop classes and home economics?
Yes, definitely!! They let the girls do shop from time to time and I loved home economics. They also need to do classes preparing for retirement.

Just want to shout out "THANK YOU" to all those in the medical field who are working so hard to save the lives of other's while risking their own. Let's keep them all in our prayers.

The very first Doctor in China who discovered this virus and desperately warned about its danger was ignored. He has since died.  If only they would have listened I believe things would have been different today.

I loved going to the drive in. When I was little we would go in our pajamas and take our pillows to fall asleep in the back seat. Of course it was fun going as a teenager too. I would love to see them come back but doubt I would go to one now.

Never been to a drive-in, but I love going to the cinema. We managed to go twice before they closed them all, so now we have to rely on dvd's and television.

even with all that is happening world wide, people are still not listening. I agree, it could have been different. I loved the drive ins way back when, but at that ime there was nothing else to do. I doubt they would be a hit now. our town does all that was mentioned, and draws a huge crowd. we don't go because we don't like crowds, but they always have a big attendance. what I would change about our town, is I would change to another town. if that could not happen, then I would stop all the tourist and snowbirds from coming here. of course that would kill the economy.

I agree, we need to pray for our medical people and our first responders and law enforcement.

That is so cool that your dad was a theater manager! I would have loved that! Getting to go see movies all of the time. Loved your answers! Have a nice week. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Back when we lived in the Phoenix metro, I used to do the same thing … and travel back to Scottsdale to the dry cleaners, shoe repair, etc. Guess it was a comfort thing … and gas wasn't so high.
Prayers lifted for all the helpers!

Praying they find a Corona Virus cure soon. It is scary especially with places closing for now and grocery stores are out lots of items.
I enjoyed your answers. Have a good Tuesday.

I heard the drive in here is offering free movies at times so people can get out and about. Isn't that nice? I agree all health providers deserve out3 respect and prayers!

I have very fond memories of going to the drive-in when I was growing up, and also of our community parades and 4th of July celebrations. We do still have a drive-in near us, in a town about 40 minutes away. I always talk about going there, but I never do.

Great idea on financial planning. Several mentioned that and it would be so great for kids to learn.

We have a drive in movie theater in between our village and the city of Chetek. It is fun and we have enjoyed going to movies at the Drive In, there is just something special about it.

I agree about what you shared about the Chinese doctor.
Sending prayers,
Carla

Oh the drive in's, I can remember going a few times. We use to have a drive in when I was young its been long gone as well as the bowling alley, skating rink. That's a shame our kids don't have anything to enjoy doing.
I haven't heard anything about a Dr, will have to look it up.

Oh yes, as a teen I loved going to the drive in. There was one right down the street out the subdivision. We still have some around here and they show up to date movies. I do think it would be cool if there were more and kids today could experience that.

2. Should towns provide community entertainment like bands in the park, fireworks on the 4th, community picnics or is the cost just too much?
Nashville does do that during the summer months. I however do not attend cause I really don't like getting in the crowds.

3. What would you change about your town if you had the power?
well, I would close the borders and stop more people from movie in. We are full...haha

Yes...I took two courses of Graphic Arts and Printing, that put me in that field for over 25yrs..
