WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

1. Has spring sprung in your part of the world? How can you tell? Did March come in like a lion where you live? Going out like a lamb or something more ferocious?

We have flowers that bloom all year long but what I notice about Spring are the birds singing. Yes March came in like a lion bringing us several weeks of on and off rain, many of them being very heavy downpours. It's much better now, going out like a lamb.

2. The last thing that caused you to spring to your feet?

Other than the washing machine buzzer going off I can't think of anything.

3. Do you have a spring clean to-do list? What's one chore on the list you've already managed to accomplish? What spring clean chore do you most dread?

Absolutely not but I should! I've never had one.

I have to admit that right now I just don't care about anything in the house yet I should be digging in to take my mind off of things.

So instead I am hiding myself in my office watching Hallmark movies I tape everyday. They are old ones but they are bringing me peace in my heart right now.

4. Tell us something you've learned about yourself or the wider world as a result of social distancing/the virus crisis.

I've learned that we have a lot of (thoughtless) people who refuse to follow the rules and don't realize that they are hurting everyone by their behavior.

Being home isn't that hard for me. Not seeing my grandson is making me have panic attacks. I break out in tears all the time.

The reason being, this could go on for a very long time for me. Just because the virus declines does not mean it is safe for me to be among people. I need the vaccine and that's a long ways off.

5. Something you love that's the color pink?

I have a Pinterest board called IN THE PINK. I can't seem to think of anything in pink to talk about but I love things in pink. The robe I'm wearing is pink.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Girls...femininity always! #pink #pinkperfection #perfectlypink ...

I don't know if you could say that spring has sprung around here but the forsythia have bloomed so they think it has. :)

#4 Debby.... ditto, ditto, ditto!! I'm trying to keep my cool & patience, with all the "nervous Nellies" who can't stay home, but I fear I'm losing the battle. I want to yell: WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? STAY THE HECK HOME. CAN'T YOU SEE HOW SERIOUS THIS IS?!!

But I don't. I just *sigh* and go on.

We're all in this together, kiddo... and we'll make it.

Love, Andrea

Big boy has a pink blanket if that counts. that is the only pink thing in the house that I know of. our weather is crazy and not normal and we have had no measurable rain for 4 months now. last night there was a storm on the way and we had hope, it springles 18 drops, not even enough to measure and passed us by, but a few miles away poured rain and a tornado... FL is usally beautiful now, it looks awful, a few green yards that use a sprinler system and the rest is ugly. I need to do a whole ton of things and tried to make myself clean out 6 drawers, I get up each day and think today I will do it. yet here we are in week 3 and it is not done

Hang in there. You are doing amazing. It has to be so hard not to see your grandson.
You need to be sure to take care of you.

March was like living in Jumanji!

I am listening to the birds chirping right now and a cardinal was in my backyard this morning while I watched from the window eating my breakfast. Always reminds me of the hymn "His Eye Is On The Sparrow".
I am sorry you can't see your grandson. How hard that must be. Hallmark movies are a great way to bring happiness to your day :)

Hi Friend,
Pink is my second favorite color.
How is your dad? I have been praying for him. Hope all is well.
Sending hugs,

It is scary...I have asthma as you probably know and I am trying to behave but it is hard to not be with those you love...Our Daughter and Granddaughter came over last week and sat in the yard with us at a safe distance...no hugs of course....I am trying not to become depressed...and to not look ahead to how long this might last....keep at peace my friend.

I'm wearing a pink robe right now, too. I'm praying for you as I type that God would cover you with His peace in this time and protect you from panic attacks.

You are EXACTLY right:

How fun to have a Pinterest board dedicated to pink things. Pink is such a happy color!

Blessings, and stay well!

I have a pink night grown, not wearing now. You stay safe, hope they will come up with a cure. These people that don't listen may not be here after this is all over, you know they don't get that this is a plague and its kills.

I enjoy those Hallmark movies, too, Debby :) And I'm with you, staying home really isn't that hard. More folks need to stay home!

Oh my gosh, the Hallmark movies are getting me through the days! I'm used to staying at home so it's not too much of a change for me. Although having the Hubby home 24/7 is very different. ;)
Have a great week!

I'm so sorry to learn of your panic attacks, Debby. With all this extra time, my mind knows I could get much accomplished … but it's like I've lost all interest and I'm paddling like a duck going round in circles. Keep your eye on the finish line, my friend!

Oh, yeah, Hallmark movies. They are just so heartwarming!

I am sure you are really missing your little guy. I bet he is missing you as well.

Panic attacks and anxiety are the worst. They can be so debilitating.

Blessings,
Patti

I'm very sad for you not to get to be with your grandson. I don't see ours either, but I have been blessed over the years to see them very often. I pray people pay attention, take heed, and let's make this shorter. Does your church have streaming or anything? We do and also have Zoom for life groups and my Bible studies. God bless you.

I heard that the Hallmark channel was going to be running Christmas movies during this time. Is that true? Do whatever you can to keep yourself occupied and somewhat normal during these times. I too miss seeing my grandson. I don't think I've done spring cleaning officially ever. Things get done when they seem to need to be done.

stay save

The unknowns are unsettling. I am trying to find things each day to be grateful for and that helps. I find reading Psalms add peace to my heart as well. My husband can't find enough projects to do, but I'm like you and doing things I enjoy as opposed to ticking off a cleaning list. I will tackle that eventually. Take care and stay well.

Hallmark movies are a good filler for the day..it's hard to not be close to family but our family and hubby and I have been on ZOOM which is like face time and can see everybody and chat at the same time. Not perfect but it does make us all feel better.
Have done a few projects ie..cleaning cupboards but that's not a whole lot of fun. Putting off getting some paperwork together for taxes but times flying by so I will finally have to batten down the hatches and do it...

I know how you feel, I can't see my younger too grand kids. The older two are here with us. We went to Temecula today. I made face mask for all of us. I tool mask to my sisters. I am keeping busy and trying not to watch to much news. I posted a picture of a pink rose from my garden. We had a touch of spring and now we get April showers.
