Garden planted April 30th
The vegetable garden today!
It's been fun, it has taken me outside more than ever before. We have some cherry tomatoes coming in and a red pepper has started to grow along with one tiny cucumber.
I just love the romaine and carrots!
However in the meantime I got a delivery from Sprouts.
Feeling better after the spider bite, took the last of my medication yesterday and winding down on the steroids. Then I had a blood vessel pop in my eye a few nights ago.
All is well, nothing to be concerned about. Had one about 2 years ago. I remember they eye doctor telling me that if anything is ever going to happen to your eye this is the best thing, it will go away in two weeks. Of course now I look cross eyed.
I'm staying strong and trying not to get down. I hate what is happening in our country right now. I'm having a hard time staying on Facebook. Twenty Twenty is definitely going down in history.
We didn't get to go to a social distancing party last week. I was torn between the spider bite and Covid-19 and didn't want to take any chances. So tonight we will see James. Hooray!!!

Wow, your garden looks amazing. I would love to plant tomatoes but the rabbits will get them. Of course I could always go out and buy some fencing to keep them out but that's just a pain in the butt.
Glad to hear the spider bite is better
That eye damsge sounds painful tho. Goodness gracious. And your garden is fantastic! Everything looks vibrant & healthy. Regarding the party? Definite no for me. I'd much rather be safe than sorry.
Your garden looks wonderful, Debby! I've never tried growing anything. So much negativity out there right now. Mine's a love/hate relationship with Facebook.
Love it...i have about 20 some odd blooms on my Cherokee Purple tomatoes...and about five on my cherry tomatos...can't wait till I have a mater on one of them...
Your garden looks great Debby! I bet it is therapeutic taking care of it too! You will enjoy so many great veggies from it.
I am sad about what is happening in our country. It was a terrible tragedy about Mr.Floyd's death but I don't get the violent riots. I get peaceful protests. I think there are instigators with the violence and that saddens me that people have such hatred and are destroying other's livelihood. We took a drive to downtown Phoenix this afternoon and saw the boarded up windows from the riots last night. Just senseless to me.
Glad you get to see James tonight! Have a great time but be safe out there!

I hate what is happening in our country right now too. Man this will be a year we will never forget.
Hope your eye is okay.
I just love your garden and that food from Sprouts looks so good.
Your poor eye, that sounds painful. You have a great attitude about it. :) That garden is amazing! I do not have a green thumb. I've always been impressed by gardens like yours, it's very impressive.
Your garden looks fantastic, Debby, I love to see and journal the garden as it grows!.
I am sorry about the spider bite, I miss so much when absent from blogland, I happy to hear you are doing well! I too am so concerned about the things happening here in our country!
Thank you for visiting me and for your sweet comment.
Blessings,
Sue
Your garden looks wonderful! I just finished planting this weekend. The weather here has turned cold so growing is going to be slow for this week. I am with you about our country... it is all too sad and scary. I'm sorry about your eye and glad your spider bite is better. I think you were smart to skip the social distancing. Take care and stay well.
Sorry about the spider bite and your eye. I had a broken blood vessel too around Easter. It actually hurt and I could not be seen by a doctor. It is better except I have dry eyes too. Your garden looks really nice. We planted a little garden too and I have enjoyed a few tomatoes. I just did a really long post and would like you to read it. You are right about 2020 and that is what I wrote about. Have a great week Debby!
Your garden looks fantastic Debby, well done.
I hope to finish planting today.
Love, Carla
2020 is definitely one for the books. It makes my heart smile when you get to see James💖
Lovely garden. We have some things out.
Wow! Your garden looks great!
I love seeing your garden! When I was a kid, 10 or so, I had a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes. Your delivery looks awesome too. Praying for our Country and for my dear blog friends. xoxo
