1. In a single sentence tell us something about your 40's. If you haven't reached that milestone yet tell us (in a single sentence) something about whatever decade you're in now.
Living in California, remarried to Mark and taking care of Adam age 12 and Amber age 10.
2. Life begins at forty. Agree or disagree? Tell us why. And if not at forty, when?
I don't feel I have an answer and I want to know, "if not forty, when?" I guess my second chance with Mark would be a new beginning for me.
However I am going to say that even though I had to wait until I was 67, I think being a grandmother is a new beginning for my life!
3. Share a favorite book, song, or quote with a number featured in it somewhere.
I'm going to say "Love Potion Number 9" by The Searchers but what first came to mind to me was "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"!
4. A picture's worth a thousand words, a stitch in time saves nine, back to square one, catch-22, on cloud nine, my two cents...pick a number phrase and tell us how it applies to your life currently.
I've said/used all of these at some point and time, however I'm going with "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words."
The reason why is because I love pictures. I love having them around the house. I am concerned about the younger generations who just keep photos on their phones.
There is nothing better than going through an old box of photos and reminiscing.
5. Last time you drove more than 40 miles from home? More than 400 miles from home? Where were you going? Was it before or after this current season of social distancing?
That would have been been 1,229 miles to Great Fall, Montana to visit Amber and Dylan. Yes that was February 23. Yes it was before the social distancing. We came home in time to go to a party on March 7th and I was only doing fist bumps with the people there.
I remember being worried about the people who flew in from Texas for the party. On March 11th I went to bowling for the last time. Not sure I can go back in the Fall. We cannot social distance from there and I need to do that until there is a vaccine.
Mark has done grocery pick-ups and we have had groceries delivered. Funny thing about that is that we said we could eat out of our pantry for a long time. We still haven't started doing that! We are due for a Costco run which Mark will do. I was able to get some things delivered last week from them. It's the first time they have had things available for shipping. I've done Target deliveries too.
I have been basically quarantined since March 13th with a few exceptions. Social distancing from Adam and Gabby's porch the last 7 weeks, taking my car for a ride and recently having to get a mammogram/ultrasound. Thankfully the facility did an amazing job on protecting all of us.

I totally agree with you on going through an old box of photos. It's just not the same scrolling through photos on the computer.
I have several photo albums, my most cherished is the one my great-grandmother passed down. I don't know most of the people but I love to visit with them and dream about what their life was like.
Have a great Wednesday, Debby!
Oh, I love old photos. If you use a lot of photos on your blog, even the older ones are perfect!
I think that life begins a few times in our lives - don't you? There are so m any start overs and chances. There is nothing like being a grandma!!!!!!!!!!
I just scheduled my mammogram. It sounds like the facility has measures in place as best as they're able and I don't want to miss this appointment. I also scheduled the dentist but it's not until end of June so if things are crazy then I will postpone. I am with you on the box of pictures!
I love pictures, too, Debby. There's nothing I like better than looking through old photographs. The hallway of our home is lined with various pics, and I have several displayed in the living room, as well. After all is said and done, pictures and memories are what we're left with after our little ones grow up or older family passes away.

Good that you got to visit your family before the pandemic!
Oh and I agree about the pictures!
I'm all for photos and photo albums...there is nothing like holding them in my hands.
I have had printed the last 10 years of blog posts through Blog to Post shared book...Its been a great way to preserve each year and the happenings too.
I think many of our younger generation will miss the history of families as technology changes and digital photos just disappear. I like the remember when thoughts come to mind.
Stay safe
Stay kind

I like your song you picked with the number lol. I could use a beer about now but I think work would frown on that lol. I agree about the pictures. It's fun to look through a box of them or a photo album or two. It's funny they say life begins at 40 but some employers want to only hire the young under 40. Glad you felt safe about getting your mammogram. I know that was a big concern of yours.

I have always taken a lot of pictures and love looking through them. I used to print them to put into albums. Now I make a Shutterfly book for each year. It is fun to do and we all love looking back through them.
My grandmother used to say "Age is just a number, pick one you like."
the last time i was more than 40 miles from home was 2008, went to savannah and Augusta which is over the 400.
i find i look through my photos on line more than getting out albums. i have about 20 albums and none of our children want them. all our family pics are in Augusta in my grandmothers hope chest that my brothers daughter has. she moved it there when mother died in 1990 and has never opened it. it is full of old photos. i would like to look through them but not have them.
Glad you are able to visit even from a distance and that your medical visit was safe. Hope you will get to bowl again soon.
I was smiling at the songs you came up with with numbers. I'm almost started singing them!! Glad you got that trip in before the stay at home orders came. Hope the rest of your week goes well.
I got divorced in my 40's and re-entered the dating world after 20 years, and found out what it was like to single parent. It was a tough time but I learned a lot.
