1. What's something you could do today to feel more peaceful?
Go to the beach!
2. June 2nd is National Rotisserie Chicken day. Who knew? Are you a fan of rotisserie chicken? You've purchased one at your local market for tonite's dinner. Will you serve as is or make something else using the chicken?

Yes we are fans of rotisserie chicken. We always pick one up at Costco. However we have not been to Costco in 3 months.
We also have a place near by called Fuego 360 which is excellent and have had that a few times recently. I will take the remaining meat, chop it up and we will have tacos the next day.
3. I read a list recently (go here to read more) of 20 of the most beautiful places in America. How many of these have you seen up close and in person? Of the sites on this list that you haven't seen, which would you most like to see?
Antelope Canyon Arizona, Kenai Fjords Alaska, White Mountains New Hampshire, Crater Lake Oregon, The Palouse Washington and Idaho, Grand Prismatic Spring Wyoming, Multnomah Falls and Columbia River Gorge Oregon, Horsehoe Bend Arizona, Na Pali Coast Kauai Hawaii, Antelope Valley California, Lake Tahoe California, The Berkshires Massachussets, Maroon Bells Colorado, Angel Oak South Carolina, Acadia National Park Maine, Grand Teton National Park Wyoming, Turnip Rock Michigan, Central Park New York City, Niagara Falls New York, and Skagit Valley Tulip Fields Washington
Sadly I've only seen about 3 of these but I have seen many other beautiful places over the years that I will never forget.
4. What's one pretty spot you'd add to the list in question #3? Are there travel plans of any kind on your calendar right now? Does that make you happy, anxious, excited, sad, or relieved?
Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore. No we have no travel plans but we will. We hope to drive to Montana, not stopping at a hotel because of the virus and spending a week with Amber and Dylan in the future. Happy!

Seeing James on the weekends. We saw him last Saturday evening. He's up for about an hour after we get there and we are social distancing outside. Then we order dinner and talk with Adam and Gabby for about 2 hours.
This coming weekend Gabby's mom is going to actually spend the weekend. I want to say I am jealous but truthfully I am happy for her. She doesn't have health issues like I do and she has been quarantined with Gabby's sister and family.
Someday I will get to do that again but for now I must remain safe. Believe me I'm so grateful for our time together social distancing. I have gotten a little closer to James because his newest thing is doing cheers with his milk and our wine glasses but we are still several feet apart!

Going to the beach would certainly make me feel more peaceful.
I had no idea there was a national rotisserie chicken day.
Goodness me, they have days for everything! What's next? National corn on the cob day?
I would love to go to the beach too, my friend.
James is so handsome and growing up fast.💖
We are all looking forward to visiting again soon, especially all the little ones as they grow so quickly.
Mara, there is a National Corn on the Cob day! It is coming up on June 11. There really is a day for everything!
I think its so cute that James does cheers! Good interaction too!! There are so many beautiful places to see all over the world and just not enough time to do it all! I hope you do get to see Amber/Dylan soon though that will be such a long drive if you don't stop at a hotel along the way (we did it before from Murietta in one stretch).
betty
What a precious thing for James to do. I hope you have a few videos of that. Just yesterday, I was on the computer watching videos of the kids when they were toddlers. The sounds of their voices, and the cute things they did were so sweet. And I also enjoyed watching my husband and hearing his voice.
There are so many beautiful places in this country (and in the world) that any list seems arbitrary to me.
Aww James is cute. I'm glad you get to see him even though it's at a safe distance.
What a cutie ...
Your little grandson always looks so happy. I love seeing your pictures of him.
That last photo melts my heart! So sweet. So thankful you could social distance with them. You stay safe and take good care.
Aw, I love the idea of James toasting y'all with his sippy cup! I don't understand how anyone can pick 'the prettiest' place … how blessed we are to have such a variety of gorgeous natural wonders. Nice, having another trip to Montana to look forward to. I saw something on the GMA where more people are renting RV's in which to travel, to avoid staying in hotels. Wouldn't that be fun?!
I'm glad you're getting to see James in person, even if distance is required. A trip to Montana sounds like a wonderful idea! And if you bring food in the car and gloves for the gas station you will be fine. Enjoy that clean mountain air!
James is so cute!
I like the beach, but I would love to be in a cabin by a babbling brook right now. So hot here!
Hi Debby,
James is so sweet, I love his smile.
A trip to Montana will be good, when do you plan to go? We were going in September, but are not sure if that will happen now. It will depend on my husbands work.
Aww Debby, so glad you could see little James! Sweet smile. Glad you have a trip to Montana to look forward to. Hope the rest of your week goes well.
Your grandson is so beautiful and makes me smile. I would like to see the Grand Canyon with my grands.

What I am doing now is good....sitting on the deck with the furs, listening to the birds and doing nothing but blogging....but the BEACH would be amazing only I would be stressed by the time I got there.....10 plus hours.

I do like but with me being the only one that eats I get tired of it fast. I try to remember to tear meat off and freeze but by the time I get tired I am ready for it to go....I usually give the rest to my brother and sis in law and they finish it off. However, it is a great, I don't want to cook meal.

Oh that is an easy question....NONE. Crazy huh? The most of my travel these days is to Calif to visit my son. This would be my summer to go but with the move, the animals, the virus....etc. I will not be going.
4. What's one pretty spot you'd add to the list in question #3? Are there travel plans of any kind on your calendar right now? Does that make you happy, anxious, excited, sad, or relieved?
No plans to travel as of yet. If I do it will probably be two hours down the road to visit a friend. Can't take the animals so I will have to return same day. Our Smokie Mts in TN are great to see. I do get excited about my travels to Calif. However if its a long drive I get a tad stressed cause that wears me out more then I can to admit.

TODAY....This afternoon.....CLosing on my old house.
I know you love seeing that beautiful little face.

Summer is going to be a hot one. We went straight into 80 and 90 degrees form Blackberry winter and I don't like it.
Good questions again...
1. If I could drive up to Lake Tahoe right now I would be totally peaceful.
2. Every time we go to CostCo we buy a rotisserie chicken. Love it and the flavor. There's just the 2 of us so it goes for several meals. I always freeze some for that time when I don't want to cook. Enchiladas, hot chicken and gravy sandwiches, Chicken Divan are all my go to things.
3. Its really hard to pick the most beautiful place. I have been to about 2/3 of those listed but I would really like to go back to Alaska. My Hubby hasn't been and it would be fun to do it together.
4. No travel plans yet. We do have a granddaughter's wedding coming in October so there is a lot of excitement coming our way.
5.I'm hopefully going to finally get a perm. Its been 9 months and i look like a wild woman !!!
6. My random thought is...this to shall pass and I need to keep a positive attitude to make every day be the best because it's the one the Lord gave me.
