So I sat down on the patio, moved the gate aside and asked James for a hug. He was surprised and actually seemed excited. It was absolutely wonderful....
We hugged a few times.
Then Roxy got involved....
Then I got up and we put the gate back in place. James started to move it trying to sneak through saying "mas" which is "more" in Spanish. (he is learning Spanish too) It was too cute. He wanted more! Then he got in front of the gate and wanted to come down by us. We made him get back behind the gate but it was super sweet.
Yes he has a boo boo on his forehead.....
He was so proud of himself for escaping
in front of the gate!!!
He really wanted to walk down the stairs and hang with us. Maybe next time we could do that for a few minutes. We are the only people who social distance with him. Everyone else is in their so called "bubble" which includes a lot of people!
No doubt in my mind that he wants to be by Mark. All he ever wanted before the pandemic was to be with gramps. He would run to him, have gramps pick him up and pretty much hang with him the whole time we were together.
Waiting for those day again in the future.....

Glad he got that hug from you! I bet you treasure it especially today. I do hope soon you both can hang out in more close contact with James as I know you and Mark are missing that. Great pictures of James!

He's adorable! That must be so hard being out of the bubble, but at least you had a chance to hug him and he wanted more.
