1. When is the last time you experienced nostalgia?
We just spent a week with Amber and Dylan which often makes us talk about the past so I will say the past week.
Otherwise I would have to give this more thought. I'm in a hotel room, it's almost 10 pm and my brain isn't working very well after 10 hours in the car.
2. September 29th is National Coffee Day. Do we need this? Ha! So are you a coffee drinker? If so how many cups per day, and tell us how you like it. Is there a recipe you enjoy that calls for coffee as one of the ingredients?
I do have coffee but it is more recent. I was never a coffee drinker and I gave up soda with caffeine about 25 years ago. I do not have a recipe that calls for coffee.
It seems as though when I was diagnosed with my A-fib several years ago they said I shouldn't have caffeine. Then suddenly I wanted some. Didn't like hearing no. Anyway I have a cup or two of half caff coffee with a touch of cream.
3. Do you find praise or criticism to be more motivating? Explain.
Good question. I'm thinking that criticism might motivate me more. I don't get much of either of those so I can't really explain it.
4. What's a television series you keep coming back to and re-watching?
Do you mean reruns, because I'm not a fan of watching reruns of TV shows. However I do watch movies over and over again. If need be I would have to say "Last Man Standing."
5. As the month of September draws to a close give us three words to describe your mood.
I'm very sad.
As you know we lost Skye last Thursday and on Friday it will be 6 months since my dad passed away. Things are not going in the direction I would like them to.

While praise is wonderful, I think it's the criticism motivates me more. If someone tells me I can't do something or didn't do it right it makes me want to prove them wrong.
I bet you had a lot of nostalgia this week with your daughter. And your loss of Skye.
I enjoyed your answers today.
I enjoy my morning coffee.
The series I watch are NCIS and the Spanish Princess.
Have a great Wednesday my friend.
Hello! Stopping by from the Hodgepodge. I am so sorry about the loss of your dad and Skye. Autumns are always rough for me - I lost my dad and brother in the fall several years ago. I rewatch movies over and over again... some so many times I know the dialogue! :-)
Neither praise nor criticism motivates me. I am the original Rebel from the day I was born and cannot be told what to do and if anyone tries to tell me what to do I get upset! I agree with you the only thing that I watch that is from the past is Last Man Standing and if I'm in the doctor's office I watch Andy Griffith because they have it playing over and over
I liked your random thought Debby. That is true; we can always turn around. I hope the last quarter of this terrible year will be a kinder one for you!!
betty
I'm sorry you're sad, and it's completely understandable. This is a hard season to begin with, then add grief and it's extra hard. Sending you a hug, and wishes for a brighter year going forward. Take care.
I'm sorry for your loss. I know how special Skye has been to you for so many years. That's got to be so hard.
Saying a prayer for you as October begins.
God bless you.
Bethany
It takes time to grieve. Enjoy your visit with your family!
Your mood is totally understandable, Debby. I did not know about Skye. And of course there's always missing out family. That is very hard. May God give you peace. I have never seen Last Man Standing. Since both you and Sandra mentioned it, I'm now curious.
Great answers, Debby, I truly understand the sadness of losing Skye, sending loving thoughts.
Love the quote too! I also enjoy Last Man Standing.
Thanks for sharing.
Sue
I totally 'get' your feeling sad. Please be kind to yourself.
That quote totally resonates!
I'm so sorry about Skye and your dad. That's so hard. When my mom died years ago I had trouble eating for about 6 months. Again, it's so hard.
Oh, I'm sorry about your losing your Skye.
I'm sure the memories you made and the nostalgia of the past week will bring sweet memories.
Debby, I am so sorry to hear about Skye. We've had cats most of our married life and they are just like family 💖
