Your Town
Let's talk about your town this week!
1. Do you like your town? Is it a city, town ? Can you describe it for us?
I like where we live. It is a city but we don't live in the city. To be honest we don't do much in our city. We live at one of the ends of the town so we normally do business in the town next to us.
Also, because we love our doctor so much and have been with him for close to 30 years we drive 25 miles to see him and other doctor's that we get referrals to.
So let's say before Covid-19 I was going to bowling each week in Upland, I would then do shopping around there and then head home. Now of course the shopping is more local but we are still getting groceries delivered by Instacart.
2. Are there any special points of interest in your town?
The one thing that our city has is The Mission Inn which is lovely. Our daughter got married at the Mission Inn. We didn't even live in this area when she got married.
Does your town have parks, restaurants?
Yes, it's a busy city downtown. We have eaten at a few places in the city. I have done jury duty in the city. Actually a new doctor I am going to see on the 30th actually has an office in our city and Upland so I don't have to drive to Upland!
4. Do you think your town needs changes to make it better and if so what changes would you make?
Honestly I have no clue. I will say that I did enjoy growing up in a small town in North Riverside, IL. Now I live in Riverside, CA.

Your Mission Inn looks like a wonderful place, Debby. I bet it WOULD be a gorgeous place for a wedding. ~Andrea xoxo
interest that she got married there and that was before you moved there. beautiful place to live. we live in city limits, but no idea if we are considered town or city
we are a city of 50,000 but in a community of 250,000, all one big space with different towns. Oneco, Samoset, Bradenton, Parish, Palmetto, Anna Maria, Homes Island, Longboat Key, and moe are all considered Bradenton. we are attached to Pinellas, Sarasota and Hillsbourgh counties, makeing us all one big space of over 2 millon called Tampa Bay Area. can't tell where we are unless we see a sign
The Mission Inn looks very beautiful!
Oh my goodness what a gorgeous place to get married at!!!!!!!!!!
The Mission Inn is gorgeous. Plus you get year round good weather!
Your proximity to other communitities reminds me where we lived in Arizona (Goodyear). Aside from commuting into Phoenix for work, we rarely drove into the metro itself.
Being married at the Mission Inn sounds like a fairy tale!
Hubby's brother and SIL love the Mission Inn. I think I mentioned that before. They used to spend a lot of time there before Covid and found a lot of secret rooms not opened to public etc. Honestly I was surprised they weren't found by someone for trespassing. You live in a good part of Southern California I think.

How amazing that you lived in two Riversides! Your town sounds wonderful and the Mission Inn looks lovely.
Sounds beautiful! Funny...our son got married in this little town in the church we now attend before we ever moved here too. My daughter in love already lived here. We fell in love with the church where they were married and decided we loved the town too and so we sold our home (about 30 miles away) and moved here. We are very happy we did, and we are now just a mile from our kids too, which is good for us as we get older. Interesting that you have lived in two Riversides! You must like "rivers!" Sounds lovely.
What a neat photo of Mission Inn! I love it. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

The Mission Inn is lovely.
I like my town pretty well - there's a fair amount to do here and I love the proximity to the mountains.
