2. Do you trim a tree this time of year, and if so is yours all done? What's something in your home-closet-life that needs to be trimmed in the new year?
Yes, I've done my main tree, my miniature tree and 4 1/4 ft tree in the living room.
Seriously, everything in our home needs to be trimmed in the new year and I can't wait to get started on doing some big time trimming.
3. Are you 'dreaming of a white Christmas'? Is that a possibility where you'll be celebrating? According to this site the top ten places in the US you can count on for a white Christmas are- North Pole Alaska, Crater Lake Oregon, Yellowstone National Park, Winthrop Washington, Aspen Colorado, Ketchum Idaho, Mt. Washington New Hampshire, Whitefish Montana, Duluth Minnesota, and the Lake Tahoe town of Truckee California
It will not be a white Christmas but we could be in the snow within about one and a half hours if we wanted too. I spent 38 years living in the suburbs of Chicago Illinois so I have had many White Christmases in my life.
Of the snowy spots listed which would you most like to visit?
Probably Yellowstone National Park. I haven't been there since the 70's! However I would love to see all of them.
4. December 8th is National Brownie Day...will you be celebrating? How do you like your brownies-chewy or cake-like, frosted or plain, nuts or no nuts, a piece from the middle or give me the corner? As a child were you a member of a brownie troop?
Probably not. I do like a chewy brownie and nuts are fine with me. Yes I was a Brownie, or at least I think I was. I know for sure I was a Girl Scout!
5. Share a favorite line or two from a Christmas carol or holiday tune.
Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! is playing on the radio right now so I am going with a line from that.
"And the fire is slowly dyingAnd, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you'd love me so
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I hope to get a Christmas post up with all of the decorations that I put out. I have at least 5 big bins of things I didn't put out this year.
If I'm not around to visit and comment on your posts you should know that I still need to get my cards out and all of the gifts wrapped. I also need to get my packages mailed for out of state.

I would say that this year I'm the jolliest I've been since Wade passed away. I'm looking forward to Christmas and I'm all decorated here.
Here in northwestern Pa, we've had more white Christmases than not.
I can't remember the last time I had a brownie. I like them just plain and from the center of the pan.
i vote for chewy brownies from the edge not the center but would eat a brownie of any kind with anything in it if i still could. no snow for me, i prefer sunshine on my Christmas day... i would like to see Yellowstone but not when there is snow. my tiny trees are up
I love your tree! I also voted for chewy brownies as well. Have a wonderful week and a Merry Christmas!
Your tree is beautiful
Love your trees.
Love your tree and can't wait to see the rest! No white Christmas here either. I am glad you pushed yourself and got some decorations out!
I, too, would love visiting ALL those White Christmas locales -- but I'd have to do it solo, since Tom HATES the snow. As ever, your tree is beautiful; I can't wait to see the rest!
I'm not sure if Jolly is the term for me but I am happy and grateful for the life I have.
Trees up and decorations are finished..much more simple this year and I'm really happy with that.
No white Christmas here...Sacramento area doesn't get snow but we are just a couple of hours from the mountains.
Big one for me is to "Trim" my eating habits and loose the 6 pounds that have slowly crept back onto my Bod. Not happy about that.
Love chewy brownies
I must get to the few cards that I send every year.
It seems to get harder to do it every year

I have things to wrap and mail still too. And buy!! Yikes! I went today to pick up something I thought was perfect for my mom only to discover it was three times the price I'd planned to play. I did a lot early but somehow there is still so much to be done. My cards are ordered but not here yet so will go out closer to Christmas this year than I like but I am determined not to stress about it. So fun to have your grandson there. Everything is magical for them this time of year. Enjoy!
I, too, have things to mail - EEK! I look forward to seeing your post with all of your Christmas decorations!
I've got to get our cards addressed here soon!! I'm excited for our grands to see the decorations up, too. Happy Hodgepodge to you!
I love seeing your tree every year! :)
I can't wait to see what you have planned for James!!!
One of my favourite Christmas carols is 'Mary did you know'. I have a version sung by Reba McIntyre which is just so beautiful.
I missed the brownie day, but I might make up for it today if my hand cooperates. I put a teaspoon of chili flakes and a handful of cranberries in mine and prefer the chewier version. Mmmmmm
And you know how I feel about snow: I LOVE IT!
Yes, if I make myself decorate, that usually rums up the jolly. This year, due to our party, I HAD to decorate so I got the happy feeling earlier than normal.
Awwww... such a pretty tree, Debby! Good luck and have fun with all your holiday prepping. Little ones make the holiday that much more joyous, don't they? Especially your precious little guy, James! I can't wait to see his Christmas outfit this year. :-) ~Andrea xoxoxo
Beautiful tree!! Merry Christmas.🎄
