2. Something from childhood you still enjoy today?
Pizza! I've mentioned before that my dad managed a movie theater and we would watch the Academy Awards each year. There was a pizza place near where he worked and they would send him home with all the fixings to make pizza. It was a tradition.
Of course by the time I was in high school we had some awesome local places back in Illinois that I still enjoy going to and of course we order frozen to keep in our freezer. Friday night is pizza night here!
3. Are you a fidgeter? What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word fidget?
I don't think I am. What comes to mind is someone who can't sit still. That was my dad!
4. Your favorite fall vegetable? How do you like it prepared?
Honestly I can't think of a favorite Fall vegetable. Maybe sweet potatoes but I eat those throughout the year. I normally just bake them in the oven.
5. What's something you find mildly annoying, but not annoying enough to actually do anything about? Might you now?
I'm drawing a blank here but I'm sure something will come to mind after I post this.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
If you read my post from Sunday, James turned 4 years old. We went over to Adam and Gabby's in the afternoon after his nap. It was just us and them which was perfect. He had a party the weekend before with his cousins because Gabby's sister had to work this past weekend.
So we had James all to ourselves and he was so excited. He had the best of times. I wish I would have video taped him. He loved opening up his presents and played with each and every one of them. The funniest thing was his excitement for more train tracks for his Duplo Lego Train set which he loves and sets up each day.
We bought him the train in 2021. I'm not sure if it was for his birthday or Christmas. Anyway he wanted more tracks which we had bought. Then we bought the bridge for it. So he is always asking for more tracks. Adam said he really doesn't need them and we knew that but we couldn't help ourselves because he so cute when he asks us for more.
Well they were the hit. I have never seen him more excited and jumping up and down. He immediately went over and added them to his train he set up that morning.

James looks so cute and that's a really cute cake. I see he's got his skeleton suit on ready for halloween! Yes I am a fidgeter my fidgeter that even when I'm sitting still my fingers are constantly twisting Rings tapping each other moving when I watch a movie I never stop moving while I'm watching it and I get up and down at least four or five times during one movie. I agree with you that I wish I had known the value of exercise before I found it in 2006
I agree with you about exercise. I wish I'd developed better habits in that area when I was a teenager, but like you said it wasn't emphasized and we did get plenty of physical activity with things like biking and swimming. We didn't have electronics and played outside more. So glad James enjoyed his birthday!
I like his train track! He does have such a great imagination! Looked like it was fun celebrating his special day! I'm not fond of doing the treadmill 5 days a week but I do realize the importance of exercise. I think it is something the younger generation needs to do more of too! Got to keep our bodies moving :)

Oh I too wish I had known to exercise and to have done it! Who knew?
Happy birthday again to such a cutie pie. I can't believe he is 4 already.
Love his shirt and train track.
I am a terrible fidgeter.
Hope you got to go bowling.
Have a safe trip!
Looks like a fun birthday for him and that's great you can add to his train set.
I like sweet potatoes as well. I used to not but love them now.
Hi Debby, your pizza memory is fun. :-)
I love the birthday story, thank you for sharing James with us.
Do you wrap the gifts? They are wrapped so lovely, I like the ribbon.
Amen to your #1. I was never fond of exercise, but most always felt limber. What a rude realization to discover my bones don't move so easily anymore.
I love James' enthusiasm for his trains!
James is such a cutie pie. I'm so glad you got to celebrate with him and had him all to yourselves. That makes it even more special.
I don't think I am a fidgeter but do like to keep busy.

We had two grandsons who loved trains too and we had a set here that they set up all around our living room when they came to visit. James is so cute and it's very hard to say "no" to cuteness! Glad you had such a good visit.
Your grandson is so cute. I love his skeleton shirt!!
Aww, love all the pictures from James's birthday.
James is so cute and how special to enjoy a small birthday party with him and his parents. They have said that it's good to keep the number of guests at a childs party not more than their age. Interesting idea. It can get overwhelming. I enjoyed reading your hodgepodge. Happy year 4 to James!
What a great present! I'm so happy you live so close and can see him.
Happy Birthday! The train is a fun toy for sure! You are right about exercise. I was okay until I moved to a single story. Little did I know that those stairs we hated were actually good. Now I have osteoporosis and sarcopenia! I am going to physical therapy to learn how to exercise with exercise bands. Target is my shrinking rear!
What a fun time with James. I enjoy every time you post pictures of him. He always looks so happy! Love the bubble picture. We had some bubble fun this past weekend too, but I didn't get any pictures. Our grandsons are just adorable, but they are growing up so fast! Take care.
What a cutie.
