2. Will you celebrate Halloween this year, and if so tell us how? Let's play this or that-chocolate candy or fruity candy? pumpkin seeds or pumpkin pie? Halloween party or scary movie? hay ride or corn maze? carve a pumpkin or paint a pumpkin?
No, not at our house. Since Covid I just haven't been in the mood. I did buy one box of the big candy bars at Costco. I did some bags for Amber and Dylan which I took with us to Montana. Then I have some for Adam, Gabby and James. I believe we will be seeing them on Saturday.
3. What's something that scared you when you were young? Are you still afraid?
That would be the movie "House on Haunted Hill" in 1959. I was 8 years old. With my dad managing the movie theater I ended up seeing it. Obviously there were no guidelines back then. I am definitely not afraid of that movie anymore but I am not a fan of scary movies.
4. Your favorite soothing drink?
A glass of red wine. Of course a cup of coffee in the morning can be soothing too.
5. Are you thinking about Christmas yet? Does this make you feel happy or stressed?
Yes I have thought about it but I am not feeling it at all. I pray that my mood changes because I am feeling stressed right now about it.
I think the sooner I start the better off I will be and by saying that I mean that I should start on my tree and hope the gifts will fall into place for me.
Otherwise everyone will get a check except I will definitely make things happy for James.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We have been in Montana and are on the road today. We had snow! Thankfully we didn't have to drive in any snow and it should be pretty clear driving home.

Snow already. I am so glad you are able to and enjoy traveling. We are sure looking forward to our northern trip for Christmas and hope for a white one this year. We are really scaling down our Christmas gift-giving. With one exception, all our grands are grown and making more money than we do and don't need a single thing, so we are concentrating on the two greats. Babies are so much more fun to buy for. If you would like to email what's going on with you, you know I'm a good listener.
The trees at the end are so beautiful! They look like they've got icing on them like somebody sprinkled sugar! You know I'm not stressed about Christmas or any holiday because I don't participate in holidays relieves a lot of stress. Glad your trip to Montana has gone well and that you're on your way back home have a safe trip. Something I was afraid of when I was young is deep dark where you can't see your hand in front of your face and I still am afraid of that kind of dark. The movie that scared me to death I was 21 years old and we went to the drive-in to see Clint Eastwood and say for Play Misty For Me and it scared me to death I locked the car doors
Look at the snow!!! yikes! I think making Christmas fun for James is the only thing you should be concerned about-- children and Christmas go together!
Beautiful pictures of snow, Debby! Safe travels home! I always think of you at Halloween giving out (in the past) the big chocolate bars. One day I'm going to do that. I'm going trick or treating with grandson; a fiasco I think it will be :) I remember watching a scary movie on TV when I was about 10 years old. I don't remember the name, but it was so scary I couldn't sleep without a light on for a few weeks afterward. I too am not fond of them! It is hard to imagine Christmas is about 2 months away!
betty
I bought some candy to give out for trick or treat but we have less and less kids every year.
I really don't like Halloween but love seeing the really little guys come to our door.
Dislike scary movies with a passion and just won't watch them.
The only thing that I think of for Christmas this year is our lack of financial ability and my mind and heart want to decorate but my body isn't quite so happy to do it.
Gosh I really sound like a sad sack this morning.
Now I have to face Walmart and do my shopping..JOY !!

Ditto on the red wine! So glad y'all enjoyed a nice visit. I'm jealous of their snowfall! Oh, and holiday shopping? If I can't do it online in my pj's it's probably not happening.
I've never been over the top about Halloween but am looking forward to seeing my grandsons excitement this year. Those early snows are pretty but I wouldn't want to live in it anymore. I need to get a jump on my shopping too. It feels like Christmas is coming faster this year than most. I think because we've been so busy.
Glad you made it there and back safely and had a good time. Nice to bring candy for them. We probably won't have any kids here at the apartment either. Are you doing okay? Don't get stressed over the holidays Debby - try to really enjoy the moment if you can.
We don't do much for Christmas now and it's so peaceful. No tree down here, just the one on the roof up on the land, which is Andy's baby.
Are you all right?
I'm so glad you were able to make the trip to Montana. The snow is so pretty!! I hope you have safe driving back home. I am not a Christmas shopper and it always causes me a lot of stress. I keep trying to simplify it but others don't cooperate and then I feel bad I didn't do more...shouldn't be that way. I'd be happy with NO gifts and just enjoy the season, the tree, the family, and celebrating Jesus' birthday the way we ought to. My most comforting drink is hot Ovaltine. Goes back to my childhood, I guess. I don't do real chocolate as it makes me sick, but Ovaltine is different and very good...I may just go have some now. LOL. Thank you again for the things you shared with me about statins, etc. I am trying to work through this and praying the shoulder/arm pain will go away. One day at a time. Take care my friend. Enjoy your family visits.
I stopped passing out candy several years ago. I do still buy some for myself though...lol
Wow, all that snow. It sure looks pretty on the trees but I would rather just look at it in pictures.
I agree Debby, Christmas is going to be here quickly and I have not started to think about it at all. Probably because Sam will not be here and it will be such a different Christmas for us without him.
I enjoyed the photos of the Montana Snow. ;-)
Sending you some "air" hugs! Sometimes we just can't answer things, and we don't need to explain. Life throws us loops and we just need to sit with all that we feel.
Wow...snow. I've been seeing it in different places. I hope we do get some but it's tough because not all our vehicles handle snow well.
Hugs.
